Assalam U Alykum,

Is it true, sallat in congregation is not fard upon a man, if he can not hear the addan of the muadden for sallat, even if his house is near from the masjid?

Please, I want any ayha from the Holy Quraan that confirm this statement (not Fard) or denys it, because there is a haddith from Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) indicates " it is not fard upon a man going to a congrigation sallat in masjid, if he can not hear the addan of the muadden for sallat", even if his house is near from the masjid!!!!

Many Muslims in West using this Haddith as an excuse not to come to the congregation sallat in masjid, & their house are 3 to 5 minutes driving away from the masjid.

Please I need a firm reply supported by Ayyats from The Holy Quraan & Ahhadith from our Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) that, denies or supports the mentioned haddith above. Jazakum Allah (SWT) kirn.

Assalam U Alykum

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Islam,

Please, a scholarly answer is need to this thereat, while there is a haddith that confirms, that the congregation sallat is not Fard upon the who can not hear the muadden even if his house is near from the masjid. Thus; it is a sensitive matter, & scholarly answer is needed that denies or confirm this matter...Jazakum Allah (SWT) kirn.

We know many ahaddith about borning the house upon those who will not attend the congregation sallat, but we need to know if hearing the addan is a condition or not, to stop the excuse of the one who is very near from a masjid, & using this haddith as axcuse for doing his sallt individually at home, while in the west the addan of the muadden is not allowed in public with amplifires, like the way is in Muslim countries.

Jazakum Allah (SWT) kirn.
