I found this hadith, does anyone know about it? strengths etc
Ahl'ul Sunnah's classical work Riyadh al Nadira Volume 2 page 351:
"Whilst on his deathbed, Umar became deeply affected by the wound and his physician asked Umar 'Which alcohol would you like to drink?' Umar said 'alcohol called nabidh is my preferred choice. This drink was then administered to Umar".
Thanks.

Why don't you mention your dodgy sources (http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=234941702) next time buddy?
Interesting how you mention "strengths etc" instead of "strength or weaknesses" - aiming for expounding maximum doubt in to the hearts of Sunni's I gather.

You keep bringing allegations from shiachat and AA. Brother Jaysh has explained it well. Read it:-

You Rawafidh are pathetic. Little boy's tricks don't work on grown men, at least not on those who have a bit of knowledge or common sense. I swear if this was my forum, you would've been out a long time ago. But, it isn't, so listen up.
First of all, If you are trying to degrade the character of 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, you are actually degrading the character of 'Ali as well, may Allah be pleased with him. How so? Actually, 'Ali married his daughter, Umm Kalthoum, to 'Umar! So, how would 'Ali marry his daughter to a drunk???
Second of all, please learn arabic and learn the meaning of words before you throw them around. 'Nabidh' or äÈíÐ was known during the time of the Prophet, salah allahu 'alayhi wa salam, as pouring a bit of dates or honey into water in order to make it sweet. This means that a 'Nabidh' which hasn't sat out for too long isn't a musakir (intoxicant) at all, thus, there isn't any problem in drinking it.
This means that not not every 'nabidh' is an alcoholic drink. There are several evidence when the Prophet, salah allahu 'alayhi wa salam, drank it and actually there is a hadith in Sahih Muslim when he allowed it because it is not a musakir (intoxicant).
Let me remind you of what Imam Ahmad said:
If you see a man mentioning one of the companions of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in a bad way, then call his Islam into question.

where did he directly insult umar (ra) on this thread? im not defending him in anyway but im trying to explain why he hasnt done enough to warrant a ban IMO, the other admins may think otherwise, im not sure, i just think your over reacting because of other issues you have with other admins on the forum.

Ok so you mean any body can just copy and paste any thing they come across the net Ok very good tomorrow some body will come with Denmark Cartoon then you are gona say " he did not directly insult Prophet (saw) but just pasted it from another site "
So you agree with damn freedom of speech like today the Kuffar claim.
I am not going to argue with you anymore my heart is just burning what he said to Umer(ra) that is what I could not tolerate.

ahmedjbh obvioulsy wanted to imply that Umar (RA) drank alcohol & went against Islam, but was easily refuted. Once again. When will he learn? I really dont know.
