as-salaamu alaykum,

Bismillah ar rahman ar raheem

Alhamdulilah wa salat wa salam ala rasoolullah

Brothers and sisters amongst the salafees, I apologize for any offensive statements I have made or possible slanders. Please pray for my forgiveness and my guidance. I have noticed that many of the issues such as ilm al kalam (ashari maturidi) sifaat dialogue are all just a misunderstanding. I do not think Salafees are anthropomorphist. As far as how to accept the sifaat im still not sure, but I am clinging onto the aqeedah of shaykh aboo uthman ibn abdur Rahman as-saboonee rahimahullah. Again i state that I do not believe Salafees to be anthropomorphist. Many of the arguments presented by Shaykh ul islaam ibn taymiyah rahimahullah and the likes of the great Zahid, Imaam Muhammad ibn Saalih al-uthaymeen rahimahullah are very logical.

The Tasawwuf issue though I will say, I believe it is an acceptable science in Islaam. From reading 'Sunnah way of the Sunnis' and seeing the notes from shaykh abu ghuddah rahimahullah im finding that indeed some sufis are within the fold of Ahlus sunnah and that Tasawwuf itself distinguished them from the people of innovation. But I also apologize to any soofies if I have offended them out of misunderstanding some of their practices. I believe that the early Sufis were indeed people who strove against bidah and practiced nothing but sunnah. This i see from the many quotes in Sunnah way of the Sufis.

I ask the brothers and sisters to please make Dua for me and the rest of the ummah so that we may all be Guided.

Well I suppose you could call it that brother. I may have made statements that have offended many people. Those who I offended im not sure how many they are. So instead of PMing them each I rather do so here. Jazakallah khayr

Brother Ahlus Sunnah, may Allah grant you patience, perseverance, and steadfastness in the Deen. As long as you make the effort on your side to seek the right guidance, you'll be fine. Allah is al-Waly to all His creation (general wilayah) and al-Moula to those who rely on Him (special wilayah).

I saw you're from the US, I suggest that you try to attend some of the al-Maghrib classes in the US. It's very beneficial to clarify all the doubts you have in your mind, one of the barrier to the truth. Always make dua to Allah to give you steadfastness in the Deen. "ya mukalibal qulub thabit qulubana 'ala dinik".

as-salaamu alaykum,

jazakallah khayr aburasheed. Thats a good idea. I have also been working on the islamiconlineuniversity.com courses (Dr bilal phillips hafidullah courses), on foundation of Islamic Studies. They have so far been beneficial to me alhamdulilah. I will look into al-maghrib classes inshaAllah
