Well, Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen said this to Usamah himself.
And Usamah swore by Allah that it's true.

what the kiddie-net-jihadi's need to understand is that if this was true it does not mean that it's ok to start belittling, insulting or doing tekfeer on Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen (rah).

Unfortunately we will never get confirmation or clarification of this from Al-'Uthaymeen. So let's not start making judgments after hearing one side of the story.

This is sound advice. Yes I love shaykh muhammad ibn salih al uthaymeen rahimahullah. And it appeared that he seemed to avoid the government. So, Allaahu alim.

Yes, we should listen to loose change or some other nutjob theory websites instead.

Hamza, why don't you write something of value? Why do you believe in the nutjob theory that 19 Muslims did 9-11?

what is there to wonder? a muslim swore by Allah on something, he did not insult Sh.Uthaymeen rather it could be seen as making excuses for him, i.e to say he was under duress.
So why question if it is true or not? please respond or be more careful in your words.

Brother Mujahid and Hamza, please try to stick to the subject of this thread. The belief in the conspiracy theory that Musllims did 9-11 is nothing more than speculative fiction.
what is there to wonder?
Bin Laden made a claim about AL-'Uthaymeen which is now impossible to verify since the latter is dead.

As-salamu'alaykum Brother Mansoor
Please answer our question why do you wonder that this is not true? What is wrong if we cannot verify? Rather what is the need to verify?
According to Islamic principles and not suu adh-dhann theories, please.
And same question to Ahlus-Sunnah.

ask his closest students i.e. the ones he taught behind closed doors who new the shaykh like the back of their hands. They would know and be able to verify.

As for the first question, the scholars of the past and present went to lengths in ascertaining whether someone was trustworthy or untrustworthy.
As for the second question, when bin laden showed a disrespectful or critical attitude toward Al-'Uthaymeen then one should hear from both sides and find out what is correct.

As for the first question, the scholars of the past and present went to lengths in ascertaining whether someone was trustworthy or untrustworthy.
From those lengths in ascertaining, what do you find which says UBL is not trustworthy?
As for the second question, when bin laden showed a disrespectful or critical attitude toward Al-'Uthaymeen then one should hear from both sides and find out what is correct.
From those lengths please show us anything similar which says that this attitude then will make it necessary to verify from the other side before believing it, with proper context, insha'Allah

Let me leave this discussion with this statement:
Al-'Uthaymeen was known for giving fatwas from his knowledge of Islaam, and not because he was a servant of the Sa'ood family.
