Assalamu aleykum,
Is anyone Iranian here, or knows these people? What is the best way to
make business with them, like bying dates and things? Are they reliable people? How to make sure that they do what they agreed to do? I am asking, because I know about doing business with Arabs, and it is very difficult, and many people had difficulties with them, because they dont follow the signed contracts etc. (I presume these were juhal people, because Muslims act differently). So are the Iranians different? Any help would be appreciated.

Most Iranians are Shia, if your name represents "Sunni Muslim" e.g. if you are called Umar, then the chance of them cheating and defrauding you is high, very high.
Be cautious and my advice is to avoid doing business with them because of them being Shia and you should not want to increase them in wealth or commerce by doing business with them.
You should in fact boycott any trade with the Iranians until they stop their injustice and criminal actions towards the Sunni minority living in that land.

All nationalities have bad in them , money brings out the worse in people.
Take precautions in all buisness dealings with anyone , stick to reputable traders , ask advise from others who have dealt with them before. Have them sign agreements ect.

Barakallahu feek to all.
Does anyone think, that it would be a good idea, to find a local imam (do they call them ayatollah?) and make the iranian party give word in front of him (as well as paper agreement)? I have heard that religious leaders have more weight than the paper agreements, with some arabs, is it so in Iran too? Is it also a good idea, to find a local businessman or someone, who would give his gurantee too? All suggestions are welcome, but especially from someone who knows them.
p.s. as SGOA said, we do business with almost everyone, so if you have no choice, then I dont see a problem, inshaAllah, as long as they dont fool you. Not giving a purely Sunni name, is a good point )))

bro, is this your first time doing business?
if they are a liar, they will lie to anybody, if they are a truthfull person, they will be truthfull even with no contract.
You have to use your skills to judge what they are, regardless of where they come from.

I know akhee. But generally, sometimes, there things, which even a liar wouldnt do, for example, one man, signed a contract and delivered the goods. Then he had big problems with getting paid for the contract. And after dealing with them (in the arab world) for a long time, he advised finding a respected Alim or a businessman, so that he would give his word, or that they would give their word in front of him. Otherwise, paper documents could mean nothing, even if you know the president himself. Thats why I asked. Is Iran a more law abiding country in general or not? Would this advise be usable in Iran too etc.
