Well?
What has the Taliban got to do with anything? Are you a person who believes that the mulsim people should be oppressed?

I don't think any one should be forced to practice any religion.
When my friends say they love me of thier own free will then I know they mean it. But if I force them to love me what satisfaction is that to me?
God loves those who love him freely and truely. The Taliban forced people to worship God. I believe the Taliban was from Satan. They profitted from the illegal drug crops and called them selfs believers of God(Allah). God loves mankind and would not approve of profitting from a harmful substance such as drugs.
God Bless

Every country has a law that the people have to abide by.
These man-made laws are made to bring some form of order and to guide people to live in a particular, civilised manner.
These laws are enforced on the people.
However, Islam is a way of life that covers not only these basic aspects of a mans daily life, but also his moral side.
Thus it is the duty of an Islaamic state to set down restrictions and guidelines on how man should conduct his life in the moral sense too.
Thus your argument should really be the extent to which a government can have a say about the different aspects of a mans life.
Were you to pose this question, I would say, no man-made law should be imposed on a people, as those who are setting these laws have a limited knowledge of what is truly best for man.
But it is mans right to live under a truly just system. Only man's Creator would know what is best for man.
So I say: Gods law is the most Just law and the Truth. So a Muslim leader who believes in God has a duty in enforcing His law on a people.
Afganistan is a Muslim country. Thus the Taliban were not forcing them to worship God. They were enforcing a particular dress code, and if you understand the society and what it was like then, and go and read about the incident which lead to the formation of the Taliban, you will see the wisdom behind it.
They profitted from the illegal drug crops and called them selfs believers of God(Allah). God loves mankind and would not approve of profitting from a harmful substance such as drugs.

"The Taleban's fight against opium production in Afghanistan was the "most effective" drug control policy of modern times, research suggests."
It is suprising you mention that God would not 'approve' of profitting from a substance such as drugs.
I presume you also have the same opinion about alcohol too, which is forbidden under Islam.

Many people say that they are Muslims, if you ask them thier religion... even if they do not pray, they drink regularly and commit other sins.
Therefore, when I talk about an islamic group in general, I dont include these kinds of people even if they adhere to such groups.
So when I talk about taliban and Alqaeda members... I'll excluding those who commit major sinsfrom these groups. So the poll gave us choices concerning the taliban andf alqaeda... but, they are Muslims and they are true mujadedeen etc... i.e they have all these characteristics you mentioned in the poll. Was that a trick question??
