Is the Qur'an applicable for all time? What references are their in the Qur'an that it is applicable and relevant for all time and not just for when it was revealed.

Here is one, but what others are their?

"This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah." Al Baqarah, 2:2 (Interpretation of Meaning)

Also, any references in Ahadith?

It is He Who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, to make it (Islam) superior over all religions

`Guidance' refers to the true narrations, beneficial faith and true religion that the Messenger came with`religion of truth' refers to the righteous, legal deeds that bring about benefit in this life and the Hereafter.

This verse has been revealed in three surahs, surah tauba, surah fath and the third one, I don't remember at the moment. Guidance in the verse has been used for Quran.

In one of the ahadith, the prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said that wonders of Quran will never finish, means this book of guidance is valid for all times to come.

The important point to note is that the word al huda has been used for Holy Quran only, which means complete guidance. Since Muslims believe that Muhammad (pbuh) is the seal of the prophets (peace on them) and he has completed deen in all respects, so there will be no more guidance to the Muslims in the form of prophets, divine revelation (wahi) and holy books. Whereas for Torah and Bible, this word hasn't been used, instead we see the word ευΟπμ, which means only guidance, but not complete in all aspects.

Jesus (pbuh) told his followers that he was not in a position to tell everything at that stage, since they wouldn't be able to understand. When Farqaleed ( a greek word used for the guide) comes, he will tell you everything. The word Farqaleed was used by Jesus (pbuh) for Muhammad (pbuh) specifically.
