any reviews, thoughts? is it good?

I have. It is ok, however it assumes alot of knowledge about linguistics on the reader, it essentially says that the Qur'an is a unique form because it is emphatic meaning that it uses literary and linguistic devices to enhance the communicative effect etc.

JazakAllahu khayran brother, I actually got it a while back and yes the book is like what you said, he quotes a lot from al-Zamakhshari and those scholars that focused on this aspect of the Qu'ran.
Are there any other works like this you know of in English?
