Asalamualaykum,
I came across this audio tape. Very informative. Hope it clears the whole issue on how coool the Deobandi really are.
I also heard Sh. Merj Rabbani's tapes through Allahuakbar.net about Tableegh Jamaat. Thats when I left the Tableegh Jamaat (with a couple of other minor reasons as well). This one seems to be the latest.

Interestingly there is a story mentioned by the speaker where he says:
Ashraf Ali Thanwi writes in a book (Karamat ul Imdadiyah) that Junaid Al-Baghdady (RA) cast a glance (or concentrated look) at a street dog, and the street dog became a Wali. LOL
Then this street dog runs around and other dogs that this "wali" dog looks at also become Walis.
Honestly whats with special attachment to dogs in deobandism.
Sh. Rabbani also explains why these Tableeghes go out in groups and other weird things they do
He exposes writings of Noor Muhammed, Haji Imdadullah Makki, Ashraf Ali Thanwi and last but not least Zakariyah Khandlavi (author of Fazail-e-Amaal).
Unfortunately this audio is in Urdu. I really wished my Muslim brothers in American could listen to this, who have to survive the attack of deobandi propaganda.

please quote the page number and the publishers of that book also.

they go in group, because prophet(sw) said to go outside in a group otherwisee shaitan is with that person. and write also the weird things in details.

i never claim to knwo so many hadiths:
Sunan Abu Dawud :
Book 14, Number 2601:
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:
The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: A single rider is a devil, and a pair of riders are a pair of devils, but three are a company of riders.
Book 14, Number 2602:
Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: When three are on a journey, they should appoint one of them as their commander.
Book 14, Number 2603:
Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: When three are on a journey, they should appoint one of them as their commander. Nafi' said: We said to AbuSalamah: You are our commander.

the speaker mentions how one sahabi was sent to madina to teach quran - alone.........
are you suggesting the devil was with that Sahabi and the Prophet (saw) was wrong to do that?
the three hadith that you mentioned are under the section of Jihad. now why would you cover up such an essential fact? hmmmmmm......
need I say more......

i see..........still no reply.
also plz reconsider what to intend to say by posting those hadith. they do not support the idea of leaving for dawah in groups, rather they talk about an expedition for Jihad.
The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: A single rider is a devil, and a pair of riders are a pair of devils, but three are a company of riders.
plz also remember that when the Prophet (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA) left for Madina......they were two in number.
another story the speaker mentions:
a group of brahmans were passing by noor muhammed's village and noor muhammed asked them where they were going. they said they were going for ganga ashnan {some hindu ritual in ganges river}. so noor muhammed said take this vessel of mine and tell ganga(the hindu goddess), "to give noor muhammed some water in the vessel"
the brahmans confused went for their ritual and then performed it. then they went in the river and asked ganga for water in noor mohammed's vessel. then a beautiful hand of ganga with henna on it appeared out of water and then took noor mohammed's vessel and filled water in it.
(mashaikh-e-chist by zakariyah khandlavi)
approval of existance of a hindu diety???? its not that surprising that deobandis would resort to such things. such things have also been found in barelawi books.

doesnt say wali anywhere and this translation is from an anti deobandi so where did c47 get wali from?
the story is relating to junaid baghdadi r.a, who wasnt deobandi, why does maulana ashraf ali have to lie about him??

oh really??
first of all, this is being related by a speaker who happens from People of Knowledge, so do not make it sound as if I am producing such passages.
secondly, if your book is anti-deobandi, you are not really helping in solving this issue. Go get a the book from a "trusted" publishers. this shows how much deobandis take care in learning of religion....sheesh
third, can you scan the that page (story) and front cover of book and post it here, nevertheless
finally no-one said Junaid al-Baghdadi (RA) was a deobandi or bad......

well the point is that it is not practising the sunnah to go out in groups for dawah, one can go alone as well
if a ppl make a group and go, then there is no special reward as such for that action
thats what the speaker was talking about
once again, the speaker meant that:
there is no basis in shariah that one must go in groups for dawah
junaid123

he did both. alone and also in group. so both is sunnah. no one denies that u cant go alone.
if a ppl make a group and go, then there is no special reward as such for that action
but u have profit. if u r alone and walking through the street many kind of thinking will come in ur mind. but if u r jamah then its helps to be concentred. And if anybody dont know any answer, another brother from jamah can help him.
there is no basis in shariah that one must go in groups for dawah
allready answered above.

right, neither has been preffered by the Prophet (saw).
and im not saying going alone is sunnah as well. there is no preffered way.
and give me a proper full hadith from where is specifically says that one should go out for dawah alone or groups?
it should mention dawah

its better if u ask scholars face to face for hadiths and other things. u told, u were with tablighis, so ask the schoalrs who spend time with them. :)

well its not in the Fazael-e-amaal book? how the hell do you expect the tableeghes to know anyway...
the point is that being in a group isnt superior or recommended (over being alone) such that it will fetch more rewards.....

“Iza Khataba humul jahiloona qaloo salama”. The mark of a man of faith is that when an ignorant man enters into an argument, he says “Salam” (May peace be on you).
