as salaamu alaykum,
What do the Ulama of Ahlus Sunnah think of the book, 'Millat Ibraheem' (alayhi salam) by Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi?

I don't think many have commented on it other than the likes of al-Halabi and al-Madkhali and others with elements of irja' in them. But I, too, would like to know what genuine Ulama have to say regarding it.

The book is a bad attenpt at trying to sound like an 'aalim. More like pulp fiction.

Any particular passage you have trouble digesting? How can a book sound like an Aalim? You mean the author?
More like pulp fiction.
You mean like "Jihad al-Nafs: The Greater Struggle." (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/showthread.php?t=2311) ?

Well,
If you think that then your opinion regarding Millat Ibrahim is pretty irrelevant. Aint no surprise you cant stomach it :)

By the same logic your opinion on anything is irrelevant.

I dont see how, because usually if i have a problem with a book or author I would kind of say what bothered me!? You know so it could be discussed?
Maybe that would be asking too much of cretins.
For those who want to judge for themselves:

Indeed. Stupid comments by br. Abu Wakee aren't going to help much in this thread seeing as though he isn't a scholar.

Abu Wakee, do you love being a jerk? Can you point our what passages you dislike in the book? Otherwise, its better to remain silent, especially regading the noble Shaykh Abu Muhammad Asim al-Maqdisi.

Sadly, brother Abu Wakee has disturbing similarities with the Madaakhilah.

doesnt matter if he is a shaykh or not the likes of him understand the millaah far better than anyone who sit on the saudi pharisee high council, or maybe they do know better, in which case it would only be another proof of their rabbinic manhaj of concealing the truth.

What are you guys tripping at seriously? First of all abu muhammed al-maqdisi is not an aalim by any stretch of imagination. Attending a few halaqas here and there for two years doesn't make you one.
As far as the book is concerned it's pretty trashy from a literally point of view. More like a bad DIY-mujtahid hotch-potch job.
As for the contents it's just a faithful regurgitation of what many of the so-called thinkers of his perturbed persuasion had already said.
It's nothing special.

This wacko-sufi-turned creep is not worth the bother. Let him fest... Atleast point out why you have this opinion of the book without puking out the old "he aint got no phd from medina".
Maybe then the brothers would discuss this and debate rather than slap you.

" wacko-sufi-turned creep"
Lol very creative...(not).
Anyway one proof of his absolute insanity is the fact that he declared those jailed islamists who prayed with the prison guards as being 'murji'is'.
The guy's smokin' some heavy stuff.
