Assalaama laykum,
It could be argued by the asharites that speaking using sound that is audible is only present when there are atoms for sound to vibrate, for what else is sound if not that?
Whats the reply?

This is outright anthropomorphism... likening Allah to His creation...

As well as a logical contradiction.
On human terms:
Speaking without sound is not 'speaking'. There are words such as - 'deaf' or 'dumb'. Why do people use them and who for?
Again, not likening these terms with Allah's attributes.
