What if something was present during the time of the Prophet (sallahu alayhe wassalam) and He didn’t mention it? Such as crabs and oysters? We know Muhammad (sallahu alayhe wasalam) knew of these things because He traveled near the sea.
I understand new things call for itchjihad (like cloning and how to make salat from space) but who has a right to make halol and harrum concerning things that were in existence during the time of the Prophet (sallahu alayhe wassalam)? Things that the Prophet (sallahu alayhe wassalam) nor Allah (subhana wa tallah) has forbidden.
…..and are frogs or squirrels mentioned in the Qur’an or ahadeeth?
