Assalamu Alaykum,

Does anyone know where I can find Arabic poetry (text) along with an audio reading?

I don't just mean Islamic ones, but the classics too, like Almutanabbi, Abu Tammaam etc

Wassalam

The best site in my opinion is www.adab.com (http://www.adab.com) - it has thousands of poetry and if you look on the right hand side, it has split all the poets into their respective places of origin (e.g. Maghribi, Sudani etc). At the bottom it has also categorised the poets into their Era, e.g. 'Asr al-Jahili, al-Islami, al-'Abbasi & Andalusi etc.

If you want to hear some of the poetry recited, go to this page: http://adab.com/modules.php?name=Sh3er&file=media

You can see some of the classics there like al-Mutanabbi & Labeed.

I really like this qira'ah of the matn by Salih al-Khuzaym: http://islamway.com/?iw_s=Lesson&iw_a=view&lesson_id=25261
