The new 'View Profile'

If you click on your name next to the Welcome, [Fulan] bit at the top you get into your "View Profile." Not to be confused with the 'User CP.'

Anyway, at the very bottom right of that screen there's a bit where it tells you: Recent Visitors to your profile.

The last 1 visitor(s) to this page were: [and then it lists their names.]

I'm not so keen on this new function because I'm someone who often misses the 'V' icon (after a 'new posts' search) when I want to go to the first new post in a thread.

Invariably I end up in the thread-starter's profile, as their name is right next to the 'V' and my click is subsequently logged in their profile as a visit.

I rather not look like I'm checking up on someone all the time (as if it's a thread that I keep reading I might be frequently in and out of their profile) when the reality is that I'm just clumsy with my mouse (especially if I'm drinking tea.)

Anyone else not a fan of this function?

I used to be bothered by that , when looking at who's on line . and see random guests looking at my profile , but I guess they might be looking for a thread and so it does not bother me now. And I do that myself sometimes as well.

I get the last person who visited my profile listed , but not more than that.

It shows only the last visitor, not all. I don't like this new stuff either, people might get the wrong impression, amongst other things...but, although I'm not a "cheerleader", I'm sure the mods had best intentions at heart and obviously worked to improve the forum, no matter the outcome, this bit I appreciate.

(Although I am still puzzled as to how all of you mod's got to have "rep power 10", considering this is a fairly new function)

I think the new features might have done that automatically for mods . I hope by this time next week no one will be even bothered by this InshaAllaah.

The new system gives 10 to each mod by default. I have changed that to make all mods equal to the rest of the member, and ended up increasing my points from 10 to 12!

Hey! It's a cool feature! And pleeeeeeeeeease, just because someone clicked on your profile and you clicked on someone else's doesn't mean anything dodgy so don't get too excited, plz! And no, you don't have to excuse yourself by blaming your erratic mouse or keyboard! It does NOT matter if one clicks on your profile deliberately, because it doesn't mean he/she is interested in you! He may have clicked because he wants to see your public photo album or join a social group you may have created!

That's because those who visited you did so long time ago. You could see the visitors in my profile because they visited recently.

ok, akhee. My laptops quite dodgy. It clicks around, opens files, paste stuff. Anyway I do check members profiles sometimes to check when they were online, to read their previous threads/post etc. I just don't want someone getting the wrong idea and have angry PM,'s.
