Prophet [s] asked to set the price in the marketplace?

I read this somewhere:

Again in the sunnah, the prophet was asked to set the price in the market place - do you remember his responce?

Can someone please give details about this event?

i remember reading about this but don't remember too much. i think the prophet(saws) responded with "allah is the fixer of all prices" but i can't be 100% sure, so please don't take my word.

One of the Names of Allah is al-Musa''ir. We learn it from the following hadith:

غلا السعر على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فقالوا يا رسول الله سعر لنا قال إن الله هو المسعر القابض الباسط الرزاق ، وإني لأرجو أن ألقى ربي وليس أحد منكم يطلبني بمظلمة في دم ولا مال

This is the hadith you are both referring to. Translation is not my department, perhaps someone who has a stronger grasp of the Arabic language can translate it in shaa' Allah.
