i like it. but on some forums they have settings where you can choose a different layout if you want. i wish this site had that option for those who like the old layout, that they could switch back.

The new colors and layout are very bad. Not easy on the eyes at all. Don't you know the light colors are worse on the eyes?

The easiest on the eyes are the dark colors such as grey or some shades of blue and green.

The layout is WAY better!! The old orange one reminded me of halloween or something. It's funny to read the responses about the pink color. Lacking confidence about our masculinity are we? Thanks to all that made this change happen.

No dis-respect to the designer of the new skin but wouldn't it be better to give the users a choice as to what the design should look like. It's a bit too pinky/purply and might be a bit de-moralising considering the aims. We need a stronger colour or at least a bitmore a a variety.

Ahhh come on akheee,

You are seeriously under-estimating the artistic talents of some of the members. I'm sure I could whip up something even though I'm not a designer as such.

the only way you will find out how good people are, is by giving them a chance. The sisters can even have a go.

I think it will be a good team-building excercise, something to boost the morale.

How about asking how many people would be interested in submitting a design. Then if you don't get enough replies say within a week, you could create 4 designs and let members choose the one that will be displayed. You could have a new design every 3-6 months. You never know, you might even get spotted by a talent scout/headhunter!

I notice you've layered several images over each other which seems to be the main feature of your design which looks pretty proffessional ma sha Allaah. It was never my intention to create a design so if I did do it, it would be for other reasons which I am not comfortable with.

The sum of everything I've said so far is:

'Let people have a say in the design process'

...whether its letting them submit a design in or giving them a choice of designs.

The Advert could say,

'The Great Islamic Awakening Design Challenge'

"Would you like to design the background for the Islamic Awakening forum? If so then please leave a message in the suggestions section to state so.
