assalamu alaykum,
being one of ibnul qayyim al-jawziyya's biggest fans i've managed to collect a good amount of scanned/typed works of his from various places. i thought i'd compile all the links i know of here inshallah to have an online library. (someone also requested for this stuff recently)
please note that the stuff i will be posting are in ARABIC. if you have his works in english or translated to any other language, then feel free to post links here too.
TAHTHEEB MADARIJ AL-SALIKEEN (http://www.4shared.com/file/31967432/8eb088c0/___online.html)
^an abridged version of madarij al-salikeen aimed at laypeople, due to the more "harder" and eloquent original of ibnul qayyim. this abdrigment is done by: abdul mun'im salih al-ali al-izzi and is one of the most popular abridged versions of the madarij.
apparently the original version used in that one is the 3 vol with sh muhammad hamid al-fiqi's tahqiq.
inshallah i will upload the full 3 vol madarij later on and share :)

assalamu alaykum bro madarij,
i had a read through the section about ibnul qayyim on tasawwuf. it is very long, approx. 100 pages but i will summarise for you the relevant points.
the researcher mentioned how ibul qayyim would rely on the following sources when writing on "tasawwuf" (bear in mind, the author calls it tasawwuf, i did not see any quote where ibnul qayim actually used the word itself).
the sources are:
- quran & sunnah and statements of sahabah
- examples of humility and khushoo etc. from his shaykh (ie ibn taymiyah)
- what were in compliance with shariah from the kibaar of the sufis, ie. al-junayd etc.
the author then goes on to speak about the "war" between the sufis and the fuqahaa. and what tasawwuf was about; the sufis that appeared (the likes of al-bistami, al-hallaj, ibn arabi etc) all called for leaving the actions ordained by shariah and wanted to concentrate on the "inner". they mocked the fuqaha because they concentrated on the "outward" and some of them even made fun of those that took knowledge and studied with the fuqaha saying that they were taking useless knowledge from dead people!
the researcher goes on to discuss ibn taymiyah and his letters about ibn arabi and his likes, what ibnul jawzi wrote about the sufis in talbi iblis etc. (basically emphasizing how ibnul qayim followed along his shaykhs foot-steps).
inshallah let me know if there is anything else you want me to look up on. i think sh bakr abu zayd wrote a bio on ibnul qayim as well and i think i've got it somewhere so i can try to look up what he had to say on this topic.
on another note, in this same book the author mentiones how ibnul qayim is less harsh then sh ibn taymiyah in the sense that ibn taymiyah took things to a next level (ie battle-field) whereas ibnul qayim was more concentrated on his writings.

As salaam 'alaikum,
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for or not, but perhaps it can guide you to what you're looking for insha Allah. See attachment.
If you'd like something detailed in Arabic, I would suggest Ibn Taymiyyah's iqtidaa siraatil mustaqeem (Tahqeeq Dr. Nasir Al 'Aql)

Another possibility is Ibn Al Qayyims tafseer of 6:55. He mentions this in Al-Fawaaid. Also, he has some points on this in 'ilam al muwaqq'een. As a last resort, I would find the ayahs that mention Sirat ul mustaqeem and then find those ayahs in his Tafseer/badaai' at-tafseer.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Sis, do you know where I can read imam ibnul qayyim's description of sirat al mustaqeem ?
inshallah i will have a look at two books that have compiled his tafaseer, one is badaai' al-tafseer (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/showpost.php?p=124050&postcount=3) and al-tafsir al-qayyim (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/showpost.php?p=125517&postcount=21), inshallah i will let you know once i've found it :). it's possible that it's from madarij al-salikeen, as he discusses al-fatiha a lot there (well the whole book is about "iyaka na'budu wa iyaka nasta'een)!

Barak Allaahu feeki sis :)
assalamu alaykum sis,
if you look at badaai' al-tafseer inshallah there are quite a few pages devoted to various tafasir the imam had done on al-fatiha, from different books (you can even find the one from al-madarij). there were various paragraphs discussing al-sirat al-mustaqim.
i posted the download link here (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/showpost.php?p=124050&postcount=3).
hope that helps inshallah :o
