I understand censoring curse words:

But I don't understand why the forum censors words that are not curse words, but happen to share letters with them.

I say this because in a post I used the word p-a-r-s-e (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsing), in the sense of grammatically analyzing a sentence. When I posted it, it showed up as p****************************.

I don't like that, because it made it look as though I was using an obscenity (and an inordinately long one at that) when I was not.

Yah, I had the same thing happen to me when posting a news article a few days ago. I had to go back and put a space in the word so the article wouldn't appear with 20 *s.
