Public Comment: Jilbabs & huge beards won't help you! (http://www.mpacuk.org/content/view/4815/102/)

We've reproduced here an interesting comment posted by one of our readers on our recent article, Minister told to stay away from Islam event by Labour officials (http://www.mpacuk.org/content/view/4800/102/). Does Ruxana have a point?

"Well what did you expect?

Whilst you were wriggling into your jilbaab, or were admiring you huge pirate-beard in the mirror, the Zionists were busy taking over control of all the media outlets. They even managed to persuade ordinary humans that killing of Palestinian children was an act of self-defence.

There was a 'Salute to Israel' event in Trafalgar Sq a few days ago. Did you go? (Did you even KNOW?)I thought not. But senior British Cabinet ministers did go; as did several of their Israeli counterparts. Did little 'Ed' protest at the presence of murderers? or the supporters of murderers? I didn't hear it.

So, go ahead: screech up and down the High Streets in your frightening niqaabs, (because she wants it!), or dress like a tramp with your straggly beard and trousers rolled up (because it is 'Islamic'). But please don't complain.

Muslims are now FOURTH class citizens.

People now speak about Muslims in a way they wouldn't even speak of animals.

Muslims should better realise, -- and damn quick, this is a PAGAN country. Got it? PAGAN country.

If jilbaabs make you a Muslim; if huge beards will get you to heaven; if 8th century Arab dress is a sure sign of piety, then hey, leave for Arabia now! And let the rest of us practise Islam.

Oh, but hang on: you don't want to go, do you? You want to wallow in the Pagan 'filth'. What hypocrites!

It's a shame MPAC doesn't have the power to compel Muslims to see sense. If Muslims followed what MPAC is suggesting, we could see a huge renaissance of UK Islam.

Be proud to be British (and do something FOR the country), and be proud to be Muslim.

Ruxana"

True, but their argument falls down when we do grow a beard, wear appropriate dress AND speak out like them.

The comment you brought up is clear cut dictionary example of the phrase "false dichotomy". Someone has an ignorance and "amazing" capabilities in logic to add criticism of the correct behavior in absolutely unrelated aspect of our Deen to a may be correct criticism in another aspect.
