As-salaamu 'Alaikum,

I haven't delivered a lesson for a long time now, and I could use some help. I've been requested to give a brief lesson on a verse or two from the Qu'ran, and I would like to focus on Imaan first and foremost. Does anyone know of a good Meccan era verse that would touch the hearts first and then the minds?

Also, any general advice for giving simple lectures would be appreciated.

Check out this thread (http://forums.islamicawakening.com/showpost.php?p=127280&postcount=1).

Perhaps it can help you.

In regards to giving lectures - this (http://www.wmin.ac.uk/pdf/EffectiveLectures.pdf) might help.

Salamu'aleykum,

So is this directed to all ages, mostly adults, mostly youths?

I've actually given the lecture already, al-hamdu-lil-Lah. It was mostly elders, with some youth attending. Jazaak-Allah-khair for all the responses.
