No. The 'Aal al-Shaykh' found at the end simply tells you he's a descendant of the Shaykh. The link between the current mufti and Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhaab is much longer than that of being his grandson (or great grandson for that matter).

He is Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin 'Abdul-Lateef bin 'Abdul-Rahman bin Hasan bin Muhammad bin 'Abdul-Wahab.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5RRe0CiekcSeeing King 'Abd al-Laat twist an ayah of the Qur'an when he was addressing the crowd at the Inter-Faith conference was sickening. The guy can be barely express himself so I don't if it was intentional or him being the idiot he is.

And it was quite sad [though not surprising] to hear what Aal al-Shaykh said addressing a group of protesters led by Shaykh Khaled ar-Rashed after the Denmark cartoons:

Rather, we should be - Inshaa'Allah - as one with our leaders. The leaders - may Allah grant them success - have dealt with this matter and declared their disapproval of this matter, because this country is a country of Islam and the Rule of Allah's Shari'ah. And it's rulers - all praise is due to Allah - refuse to allow the religion, the Prophet and the Qur'an be harmed in any way.

On the contrary, they are against that, by the grace of Allah. So my advice to you is that you return to your [own] affairs and work and your children's exams and fear Allah in yourselves. And not be a cause of something with a condemnable outcome; rather, be people of deliberation who never hastily whatever the circumstances. You are the Muslims' youth. Jealousy and zeal is fine, but I advise you to be disciplined.

the saudi government did nothing to boycott or prevent those cartoons or to put some pressure on the west, but hey i dont expect much from a kufr regime like the aal saud government , aali Shaykh comments are insane for a mufti i cant imagine a mufti with some honesty defending the saudi regime and giving such an advice , but hey aali Saud and his government scholars didnt speak out either at the time of Rushdie , only Iran did , i am not praising Iran now but they are the only country objecting such cartoons/mockery referring to the rushie case now..
