In a hadeeth related by Abu Tharr, may Allaah be pleased with him, the Prophet [sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam] said: “Do not look down upon any good deed, not even to meet your brother with a cheerful face.” [Reported by Muslim]
In another hadeeth, he [sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam] said: “To smile in the face of your brother is charity given on your behalf.” [Reported by al-Bukhaaree in ‘Al-Adab al-Mufrad’ and at-Tirmidhee with a ‘saheeh’ chain]. So cheerful was the countenance of the Prophet [sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam] that one of his Companions, Jarir bin ‘Abdullaah said: “Since the day I accepted Islam, the Messenger of Allaah [sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam] would never meet me without a smiling in my face.” [Reported by al-Bukhaaree in ‘Al-Adab al-Mufrad’ with a ‘saheeh’ chain]
A smiling face indicates a good quality and causes blessed results - it indicates that one’s heart is free of rancour and it causes affection to grow between Muslims.

William,
Allah subhanaHu wa ta'aala, says in Qur'an:
-Kullu man 'alaiha faan.
which in translation of the meaning means:
- Everything in this world will perish.
Do you agree with it?

What about the General Resurrection, Brother?

Yes, the soul is eternal, but the body is not. By "death" people mean deterioration of the body. If soul is included, then there is no death already. In both cases I do not understand your motto

I believe that the dead will be resurrected some day and I believe that life span will continue to lengthen until there is a generation (us?) who will be immortal.

Why would anyone want live forever in this dunya?
Death is a reality that no-one can escape from, William. Just accept it and prepare yourself for it.

I believe that God blesses (me) with (long) life, Brother. I prepare for life...not death. God is a God of life.
I pray that your quality of life improves, Brother Nu7.

That contradicts the word of Allah who says that everything will perish.

I don't know how you carry on with such a view.
Maybe because he is a muslim.
Now please tell me who is telling to you God's thought process and what he really thinks?

He believes that we "all recieve our own personal revelations".

He believes that we "all receive our own personal revelations".We are each blessed with our own perspective of God. Isn't that clear?

Now please tell me who is telling to you God's thought process and what he really thinks?I think it's pretty safe to say that God wants us all to act like children of Adam and Eve...siblings. Doesn't God tell you in particular things that He really thinks? I am impressed by wisdom from every source including you. Then I fill in the blanks like every person does including you.

What does that have to do with " everything will perish"?

What does that have to do with " everything will perish"?I thought you asked me how I know what God thinks.
I think that the Brother has not brought Resurrection to mind. That's how I contest 'everything will perish'. ...but, further, I really do believe that EVERYTHING gets better every day in EVERY way.
