at the Arabic section of Ahl al-Hadeeth forum several months ago where a group of "ulama", "shuyookh", etc. issued a declaration that conveyed the greetings of Merry Christmas! to the Christians. The list of signatories is a who's who of Sufis, Ash'aris, Ikhwanis, Rafidhis, Modernists, etc. And this is not to say that all those from the groups named agree with this spurious declaration, yet many of them make tamyee' of takfeer of the Jews and Christians. From among the signatories are:

1. Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah and he is one of the initiators of this declaration and he said that there is maslaha in it. Bin Bayyah is one of the major Maliki 'ulama of our time and I'm pretty sure that this declaration is something which goes against the Maliki madhab. Instead of issuing a fatwa which forbids Muslims from celebrating Christmas which is something many Muslims unfortunately do, he issues something which is against the rules of Islam and something which is of no benefit to Muslims. And Pope Benedict reciprocated by baptising neo-Con charlatan, Magdi Allam, into Catholicism to those Muslims who wish to dialogue upon false premises with the Christians.
2. Ahmad Hassoun, "mufti" of the Nusayri tawagheet in Syria who says you can't make takfeer of the Jews and Christians and baatini sects such as the Nusyaris and the Druze and who says secularism is from Islam!
3. Jihad Hashim Brown, one of the Sufi du'at in the West.
4.Hassan as-Saqqaf
5. Neo-Con Sufi, Abdul Hakim Murad
6. Ali Jum'a, Mufti of Egypt
7. Ali al-Jifri
8. Muhammad Sai'd Ramadan al-Buti
and many more from the school of tamyee'.

Subhanallah, how things have changed. In the early days in Baghdad, whenever a person was accused of bid'ah or zandaqah, they used to put the Maliki ulama as judges in his case, because the Malikis were well-known to be the harshest against the people of bid'ah!

The only thing that raised all of these heads of batil and brought them together was in order to say "Merry Christmas" to their kafir friends!

When will we hear from these geniuses a united statement dealing with the real problems and concerns of the Ummah?<!-- / message -->

modernist extremist sufis that hide themselves under the noble title of ''Maliki''
or ''Hanafi'' or ''Shafi'i'' or ''Hanbali'' , people tend to deceive people by using certain words and labels , oh hes also maliki lets listen to him no look at his statements rather than his label , if i would judge people based on their madhhab i would be an idiot dancing around graves like the bareilvis , i use to be Hanafi and i can tell you its hard to find a Hanafi that is not into Bidah or Sufism althrough there are still a lot of amazing Hanafi scholars and Hanafis but the Hanafis in the sub continent lost their mind a majority of them
