STOP POLICE TERROR
The family of Babar Ahmad wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all of those who responded to the Stop Police Terror action alert, encouraging the public to write letters of support to Babar. The British political prisoner, Babar, wrote in his first letters to his family received this weekend, that he had received over 50 letters from Muslims and non-Muslims in the past week.
Babar has specifically requested people to continue to write to him regularly, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, youth or elderly, male or female, those who know him and those who do not. We must not let this matter fade away as the weeks or months pass.
Stop Police Terror therefore urges you all to make it a practice of sending at least one letter or card a week or fortnight. As Muslims, we know that, as per the statement of the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), “the most beloved deeds to Allah are those which are done regularly even if they are small.” (Bukhari, Muslim) Your letters did much to boost his morale and lift his spirits and are vital to keeping him strong and steadfast in the coming months.
His address is:
B Ahmad MX5383
HMP Woodhill
Tattenhoe Street
Milton Keynes
Bucks
MK4 4DA
If you would like to receive a reply from Babar then please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your letters.
Babar urges people to persevere in their supplications and reminds his family and friends to be strong and patient:
“If Allah can release Yunus from the whale with du’a (supplications), then for Him to release me with du’a is a small thing... Things could have been worse. Allah knows that I am innocent…
“But now I don’t need your tears – I need your du’as and I need you to be strong so we all pass this test with what Allah has planned for us all.”
He concludes with a message for the British public:
“I am not a threat to the public and nor am I a terrorist… I am a political prisoner and not a murderer or armed robber or [like the] other criminals with whom I spend my breaks. My only crime was to ask for justice but because of that crime, they want to extradite me to America. The start of any nation’s end is when they replace justice with injustice.”
