I am trying to get Ibn Qudama's Censure out of the way, after which InshaaAllah we will have the course on seeking fatwas.

Thought I would share this with all...
One of my teachers told us that there isn't anything from the Prophet that he would greet anyone at Eid or Ramadan. There is a narration from a sahabi that they would greet each other. Imam Ahmad in one of the narrations states that he would not begin to greet anyone, but would reply when greeted. Ibn Taymiyya had a balanced approach and said that the one who greets has a salaf, and the one who does not also has a salaf.
But when a person is greeted, it is wajib on him to reply back to the greeting, even if it be something as small as 'wa iyyakum' (same to you)

Interesting.
So "Taqabalallaahu minnaa wa minkum" is this not really an eid greeting at all ? Something general to say to one another at any time ?

Well, it is... since some of the salaf practised it.
Yet, others did not.
So whatever you do, you have a salaf.
