Salaam alaikum wa Rahmatullah hi wa Barakatuhu .

This is my first post and on this forum.

I read the speech by Abu Omar Al-Baghdadi on kavkaz and SubhanALLAH was really amazed by the progress Mujahuddin made in IRAQ.
Do any of the brothers know who is Abu-Omar?

The Mujahid Shaykh Abu Umar al-Baghdadi(HA) is a Qurayshi Hashemite, who is of a Husayni origin [attributes to the tribe and family of the prophet]. I read the Shaykh's full name somewhere but cant find it at the moment

Al-Baghdadi claimed that Washington had tried to negotiate with his group through the Saudi government.

That is Abu Hamza al-Muhajir that you are thinking about.
