Asalamu alaykum
It is reported in hadith that Allah descends to the lowest heaven every night. What I dont understand is that doesnt this mean that Allah moves inside the creation as the heavens are his creation?? therefore doesnt this contradict the concept that Allah is separate from his creation as if he descends to lowest heaven then this seems to imply that Allah is encompassed by the creation.

I am in no way comparing anything with Allah, and indeed it is best to leave this without asking how, because humans have not even understood the universe, the Creation of Allah, so our minds are not capable to understand or comprehend the Greatness of Allah Subhanahu.
But on this little pic, you can see that for example, a part of the sun constantly gets closer to a part of earth, and gets further from another part of the earth, while being on its own place, simply because the earth itself is spinning around. I know that many brothers have a problem with understanding this hadith, and we can not understand it fully, because Allah is too Great for our minds, but this shows us examples from around us.

Simple. Coming to the lowest heaven does not necessitate penetrating the rest of the heavens. Although, our job isn't to ask how. It is to believe.

What should our response be to those rationalists (not necessarily logic lovers), who would bring this issue to explain away the apparent of Allah's Attributes?

Abstain from takyeef.
The major problem with all these jahmis is that they cannot have faith in a single attribute of Allah, including existence, without takyeef.
If it is His Will, the feel the need to define it as: an eternal Will, implying that Allah cannot will at certain point in time. Every attribute, they feel they must subject to takyeef in order for it to fit their view of God.
Takyeef is the root of the problem.

Jazakallah for your responses.
So basically we should believe that Allah descends to the lowest heaven without being contained inside the creation (ie lowest haven)?
