Assalamwalaykuum wa rahmatallahi wa barakatahu

Question for Abu Zubayr--

What do you recommend for the youth, seeing these are the end times.

Do you advise us to seek knowledge and prepare for maseeh ad dajjal or should we do humanitarian work abroad.

If one finds corruption from the general masses of the ummah, what do you advise. Even though we love them, corruption is the norm.

I am a very intellectual person, I believe I have what it takes to do both.

As I said earlier, I think a person should try to look at his own expertise, and then look at what's needed in his community, and accordingly decide his career.

Not everyone is for seeking knowledge, just as not everyone is for jihad, medicine, art, media, writing, etc. It is up to the person to find out what he is particularly good at and peruse that.

He should then use his expertise to benefit his immediate community. If he is good at finance and economics, he should learn about Islamic financing and try to make his community financially independent from ribawy institutions.

If a person is good at secular education etc, he should put his efforts into Muslim schools.

If a person has good media/journalistic skills, he should use them for the betterment of his community.

Do whatever you are good at doing, but also be a beneficial person to your community.

Remember, the Prophets weren't only callers to Tawheed, rather they all benefited the society they were living in.

The Prophet - SallAlahu 'alaihi wa-sallam - was known as al-Sadiq al-Amin who could be trusted with people's property, such that even kuffar would give their wealth to him for safekeeping.

Isa also helped his society with respect to medicine, etc.

Yusuf also helped his society with dream interpretation and economics.

So be a useful Muslim.
