I personally do not speak Urdu, so I have no idea what he propagates in his lectures but unfortunately I have relatives that are deeply into his teachings and they've been telling me about the things he says. Apparently, he's said things like:

"The real deal with shirk is... you can't say that saying "ghauth-e-azam" or ya "saint" is shirk because... its like saying parents raising children is shirk! In reality it's Allah that gave them their rizq, their power, made them reach the stage there in -- but when you say its the parents who did all that, isn't it shirk?!" (paraphrasing according to the English translation I received). I was told many other things as well, like: "Jibreel (AS) came to Maryam (AS) and told her I'll give you a son -- when it's really Allah swt who gave her the son, isn't this shirk?!" (Astaghfiru Allaah, mass misguidance as they do not understand the Qur'aan in Arabic). Other things I know he promotes are meelaad...

basically, I'd like to hear from those that have heard his lectures or know further about him -- he seems to be popular amongst the bareilwys. Also, if anyone could share any responses done to his lectures, either in English or Urdu (articles, lectures etc.), as that would be useful in shaa Allah.

Hashim ar-Rafaei had an excellent three cassette refutation of Qadri-sab. He asked Mr. T to make a mubahalah (http://islamtoday.com/show_detail_section.cfm?q_id=642&main_cat_id=14) with him in regards to whether his beliefs were correct or not.

However, I don't think the cassettes ever made it into an MP3 format.

I remember seeing on Tahir al-Qadiri's website a while back that they organised some kind of multi-faith christmas party in which "shaykhul-islam" and his followers made a big christmas cake for their christian "brothers" (yes, they called them their brothers). There were photos of it and all.

This guy is also close to the shi'ah, and has given a number of lectures, notably one on the "ghadir khum" hadith, in which he poorly attempts to do a balancing act between shi'ism and sufism.

Very dangerous stuff.

Assalamo Alaikum!

I saw a tv program recently where he is addressing an audience. He cries and the audience cries. Looked like a real drama.

Wassalam
