Ahaadeeth from Mu'awiyah

Is there any backing to the claim that Imam Ahmad did not accept ahadeeth which were narrated from Mu'awiyah???

Surprisingly, while I thought it would be shi'as claiming such things, it was an ash'ari trying to diss up a salafi because he quoted a hadith from the sahihayn on the authority of Muawiyah and that 'he doesn't really follow the Salaf' because since most salafis = hanbalis and that supposedly Imam Ahmad didn't accept ahaadeeth from Mu'awiyah...
