Salaam 'alaykum,

I made a statement on basis of a little research but now I am doubting that statement and I want to make sure if it is flawless or not and how to make it flawless if not.

It's about this statement:

Some scholars say, like Ibn Hazm al-Dhahiri, that with exception of the Muqatta'at there are no Mutashabihaat in the Quran. Others, like Ahmad bin Hanbal, they say that the Attributes of Allah are from the Mutashabih and the Dhahir without al-Kayf.

Wa salaam

This is a long debate discussed in detail in book of usul.

I don't know about Ibn Hazm's opinion, but according to Imam Ahmad, mutashabihat of the Quran are those verses that have a correct and an incorrect interpretation.

This is why he also considered the verse: There is nothing like His likeness, to be a mutashabih, which the jahmiyya use to negate other portions of the Quran.
