IN THE NAME OF ALLAAH THE MOST KIND THE MOST MERCIFUL
-----------------------------------------------------
3rd Dhu al-Qa'dah 1425 Thurs 16th Dec. '04 8.25 a.m. (UK)

From Abu Muntasir,

Assalaam 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu.

Innal hamdalillaah was-salaat was-salaam 'alaa rasoolillaah.

May Allaah guide, bless, protect and forgive all
Muslims, ameen.

I am writing this email to request your advice in
two areas of da'wah. I know there is an awful lot
of skills, experience and qualifications out there
among the readership by the grace of Allaah. We
can only consider ourselves blessed that we can
ask one another for naseehah. I realise that some
of you could be very busy so all I can do is to
hope that you will respond and make some sacrifices
in your time for the sake of Allaah. I am sure I
will get some rather valuable input from many of
you insha`Allaah. The more we can think 'out of
the box' the better for us.

Before tackling the queries kindly say a few words
about yourself, such as expertise, skill, area of
work, qualification and experience.

The first area is concerning our next conference
and the second concerns general da'wah and Islamic
activities.

Please let me know your considered opinion about
the following queries. You can make the answers
as long or as short as you please. However, please
be objective about the questions and do not try
to think in terms of JIMAS belonging to any group,
section of the Ummah, daw'ah to a particular stream
of understanding or political affiliation.

JazaakumAllaahu khairan in advance.

CONFERENCE

1a) What do the people in the UK need?

1b) What do the Muslims in the UK need?

1c) What would you like to state as the objectives
and aim of the conference?

1d) Could you suggest a theme and sub-theme for next
years event?

1e) Are there any speakers you could encourage us
to invite? The speakers must have a good grasp over
English and understand operating in the Western
world.

1f) What should be taught or talked about? Would you
recommend any specific topics?

1g) Do you have any suggestion on the structure of
the programme? E.g., are there workshops, activities
and seminars you could advice?

1h) Are there groups and organisation you would ask
us to consider?

1i) Which if any non-Muslims may we involve, either
salient individuals or representatives of a body?

GENERAL DA'WAH & ISLAMIC ACTIVITIES

2a) What do the non-Muslims in the UK need and
what do you think they want to find out about us?

2b) Are there any projects you can suggest we
can do to facilitate a better understanding of
Islam and the Muslims?

2c) Are there non-Muslim bodies and organisations
we could work with as a means of da'wah?

2d) Are there non-Muslim individuals with whom we
could do joint events and programmes?

2e) What are the issues, whether political, social,
religious or cultural we should look at and even
work with others to bring common benefit?

2f) What are the ways Muslims can involve in the
British society?

I am trying to collate feedback and input so that
by the end of the month insha`Allah we can come
to a decision. We are aiming to announce the 2005
conference in January insha`Allaah and plan other
activities for da'wah for the next two to five
years. Thus if you can respond sooner rather than
later then that would be of immense help.

May Allaah unite our hearts in the pure creed of
Islam and in His correct worship and jazaakumAllaahu
khairan for your co-operation.

Wassalaam 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah.
