did your pc crash when running word?
and then did you try to activate word even though it is already activated?
or is it a trial version, registering usaully does the trick?
what version of word do you have?
i think it may easily be resolved through unlocking via some menu options.
have you tried detect and repair under help menu?

I'm on Laptop, it didn't Crash..
I didn't activate it. I didn't realise i had to, as in the pass it was never required.
I have Microsoft 2003 (It isn't Trial version)
I opened word and a 'Activation Wizard' appeared... telling me to activate, tried to do this via internet, but got the 'Your installation cannot be activated becasue you have activated upto the limit for your Product Key..' message.

..I can't expand my Doc. As the Toolbar does not appear. Even tried Alt, Shift, F10. Zilch.
Do you think, if i installed a different version of Microsoft Word, it would help. (As in be able to open my documents there)
Inshaa-Allaah!!!

go into tools - options - security and uncheck read only
you cant modify if a doc is read only so try undoing that

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826526 activating upto the limit
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/suites/default.aspx modifying locked doc
looks like you have a uninstall - reinstallation ahead of you. all is not lost yuo can still run your docs on word elsewhere or try running another version like you said.

Try: OpenOffice.org (http://download.openoffice.org/2.1.0/index.html)
Yes, it supports M$Word documents.
