there are all these rules about conduct when speaking with a sister, but some people have all sorts of names, some does not indicate whether the individual is a brother or sister and so there is no way of knowing whether you are going over the mark in the discussions

eg. mika, i couldnt tell she was a female until it was pointed out,

i have seen some other islamic forums before and they have the gender under the name so you know if the person is a brother or a sister

It's good to see the Gender Option in User Profiles has been added.

yeah... and I guess the genderless ppl should do the honourable thing to edit their profiles ;)

May be we should have an icon depicting a Muslim male and female, and non-Muslim male and female (without eyes drawn).

do u think there's a need for an icon? maybe u could have a trial run and see what people thnk? insha'Allah

Well, I just that it would be nice to have something similar to emoticon (without the eyes), one with hijab, the second with beard, the third without the two.
