Alhamdulillah, I have some good news and advice.

If you have a degree and are a citizen from any English speaking country, it is really easy to get a job, teaching English in South Korea, in a public/private school.

They pay your airfare both ways, the cost of living is high but cheaper there, and they are desperate for English teachers.

Go into google and type 'esl jobs south korea' (without the inverted commas), and you can take your pick. Be careful and research it thoroughly before you choose which recruiter to work with. They charge nothing for their services, they get their money direct from schools.

Alhamdulillah, I have found a job and will go in May/June 07, inshallah.

After my last job, I need to get away from this country for a while. Kids over there have respect for their teachers, so the job should be easy.

I'll work office hours, no weekends, my last job was the complete opposite of that. I hope to get 2 years experience abroad, get a TEFL (teach english as a foreign language) certificate and then go to Saudi, inshallah.

I am almost 100% sure, you need a degree to teach in South Korea.

With most teaching posts abroad, they'll require a degree. In many cases, they also ask for experience (3-5 years worth), so it'll be better for you to get your qualification before applying. Also there are many people who want to work in Saudi/UAE etc and most likely CV's are picked according to the qualification among other things.

With regards to the UAE , if your going to teach in a school that follows the english ciriculum then you need to have proper teacher training , but if your going to teach english as a second language in an Arabic school ,then having tefl is enough to land you a job. or sometimes just being a native speaker is enough.
These jobs are not advertised in the newspapers , just word of mouth kind of thing.
