Bro,a Sheikh whilst explaining the hadeeth "Innamal Ammalu bin niyyati " said Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said "If a person drinks water or any other halal drinks but thinks it to be alcohol yani fantasies then it becomes haraam "

Bro would u please say from which book of sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah ?

I remember coming across something like this... not in any of IT's works but Hanbali works on Fiqh or Adab, quoting IT... can't remember exactly which book. I remember the discussion was about intentionally having sinful thoughts, is one accountable for it or not...

What type of book is Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa....
This is from the above book "If I saw a man leaving his home without an inkwell or pen to seek (knowledge of) hadeeth, (then) this would affirm his deceit."

Siyar is a voluminous collection of biographies of various famous/infamous Muslim/Islam-related personalities up until al-Dhahabi's period, 8th century.
