How do you clean your shoes if you step on najis.

Is it true that all you have to do is wipe your feet about 3 times on the floor?

Is that the same ruling for stepping on urine, in public toilets?

Well yes, wipe it on the floor thoroughly will be my guess.

If you really wan't your shoe clean, put it in the washing machine or just use soap, water and a sponge.
You get it spanking clean.

Wiping on the floor wont remove najasa unless your talking about dirt or sand , grass is good for removing dog mess, you would need to wipe them on an area where no one sits or walks on.

According to the madhab it must be washed seven times.

There is another opinion from Imam Ahmad that wiping it on the ground does the job, and this is the preferred opinion of many Hanbalis, such as Ibn Qudama, Majd and Taqi al-Din Ibn Taymiyya and others.
