wa'alaikum as-salaam wa rahmatullaah,

Welcome to the forum.
Masha'Allah, I've just realised that you're the brother that will be teaching the Arabic Courses over the Summer at Kings College.

With regards to nabeel al Haqq, then if you are referring to the one in the masters program, then I have only spoken to him a few times over the phone, but I don’t really know him as he is from an older generation, the yasir Qaadhi generation. I came to the Jaami’ah when they were nearly graduating.

With regards to the Arabic course, then yes, I will be teaching this summer the madeenah books 1 – 3, aajroomiyya, and some other books insha Allaah.

Jazaakallahu khairan to you all for such a warm welcome.

As for hanging around together, then the british brothers are the worst when it comes to community relations. For example, the somaalis, where ever they are from, all get together and even organise joint gatherings and joint umrahs, but as for brits, then everyone has their small group of friends and sticks to that. Everyone is on their own thing. There are so many british students that I never even knew they were in the Uni until years later. And there still are british students that I dont even known their names. A really bad situation, but I think it is too late to fix. It really becomes apparent during Eed times when everyone is on their own. Well, it is not totally bad as there are some groups that are bigget than others, but far from being a united body.

as for 'RI', then I dont know what it means.

Undoubtely one of the perks in britain, especially in London.
I will advise to give it some time, make new relations, inshallah it will change.

Wassalam.
