Who is Zayn al-’Abidīn? Only thing I know is that shi'a, may Allâh guide them, consider him as their fourth Imam.

Him, and the other Imams of ahl al bayt are innocent of the beliefs of shia, may Allah guide them.

They were all from ahl assunnah.
and shia fabricated sayings and attributed it to them.

There's a good biography of his in 'Suwar min hayaat at-Taabi'een'

Zayn al-'Aabideen (rahimahullah) penned an excellent piece titled 'Laysal ghareeb' recorded here: http://www.emanway.com/multimedia/anasheed/laysa-alghreeb2.ram (shaykh Mishaari al-'Afasy recently did a cover of it too).

Arabic and translation were posted here (http://www.islamicboard.com/islamic-multimedia/27755-laysal-ghareeb.html), jazaahumullaahu khayran

This is one of the best piece of art I have ever come across... The words are so touching... Amazing! What a loss for the English world not to have something like this!

When this release come out, they sold so incredibly fast I could hardly find a copy. Mashaa'Allaah it has many more classical poems & al-'Afasy does brilliant covers, but I somewhat prefer the above version (Laysal-ghareeb (http://www.emanway.com/multimedia/an...-alghreeb2.ram))
