Shaheed Abu Abdullah Al Britaani
"Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah, i.e. they have gone out for jihad and showed not their backs to the disbelievers) of them some have fulfilled their obligations (have been martyred) and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed in the least". Al-Ahzab 23
I would like to share some news with all my Muslim brothers and sisters. The news is of the martyrdom (shahaada) of our brother Abu Abdullah al-Britanee. Abu Abdullah was shaheed in the valleys of Kashmir on February 20th 2001, whilst fighting against the oppressive Indian army.
Abu Abdullah was born in 1976 in Britain to parents of Pakistani origin. At the age of 3 he went to Pakistan to live, with his family. There he studied and lived, in which time he became very custom to the Pakistani way. Some ten years later it was decided that he and his family would come and live in London again
He came to London and lived a life of ignorance towards the deen of Islam. Like much of the youth in Britain he was involved in fruitless activities. Until, when one day his mother announced her desire to go to hajj, and wanted Abdullah to accompany her on the trip. Out of his love for his mother (despite not practising) he agreed, he knew that this meant that he would now have to change his ways, to that of the true Muslim. After having been on hajj he came back a completely changed person. Many people today go to hajj and come back to get on with life just as it was before, but not Abdullah, he really changed. He came back and started learning the way of ahlul-sunnah, despite having family of an innovational background. He often had disputes with family members on their deviant interpretations of Islam but he was never known to have raised his voice in an argument. He would under extreme anger just smile in his beautiful manner and walk away. With his beautiful manners, innocent character, and correct understanding of Islam he gave dawa to all his immediate and non-immediate family. This resulted in the creation of a good Islamic environment inside his home and amongst his friends.
As time went on Abu Abdullah grew in his knowledge of the deen of Islam, eliminating all misconcepts about practising Muslims, setting a true example to everyone. Then in 1997 a brother introduced a cassette of the Shuhuda of Bosnia to Abu Abdullah, this changed his way of looking at life. He was introduced to a concept that was not readily talked about or taught in those days. It was JIHAD, giving up your life and wealth for the sake of Allah swt. It was then that Abu Abdullah made it his objective to leave his home and defend the Muslims. However Bosnia was over, Chechnya had obtained independence from the Russian's, and Palestine was a very difficult location to go and fight. All these factors all indicated only one destination, his mother homeland, Pakistan (Kashmir). Whilst in London he made all efforts to educate himself about the situation of Muslims in Kashmir by travelling to all parts of Britain, speaking to Kashmir's Mujahideen. The more he learnt the more determined to go he became. However he never forgot his duty to his family, during this time he was constantly educating his mother and cousins on the virtues of Jihad. He did this in the unique manner of leaving messages on mobile phones of a hadith a night, often in the late hours when he would be studying himself. He would give special attention to his mother by spending some time every night massaging her legs and praying Fajr and Maghrib with her. His mum once commented on how he would go into the position of sajood (prostration) and spend a long time there, however he would not stop as he believed in the messenger's PBUH hadith that a slave of Allah is closest to his Lord when in the humble position of sajood.
The time had finally come for Abu Abdullah to part from his family and wealth, and go and live the life of a Mujahid. He was to leave his loved ones and go and join a group of people he had only ever heard about. Although his travels, in the UK, had resulted in meetings with ex-kashmiri mujahideen, who would give him sincere advice, he really didn't know what to expect. Abu Abdullah left his home not knowing much, except he was to strive for Allah's pleasure at any cost. Abu Abdullah was so determined to leave that he would have an answer to every argument presented to him. On one occasion his mother had said to him, " don't go now, as it is extremely hot at this time of the year….", to which he replied "it is still going to be cooler then The fire of Hell, please mother don't stop me."
Abu Abdullah left his home that summer for Pakistan, equipped with insufficient kit. He had been advised to take basic military equipment, which was to prove inadequate for the rough and treacherous mountains of Kashmir. Despite the hardships suffered during the early days Abu Abdullah continued to train hard. Due to his good understanding of the Pakistani culture and language he had never disclosed to the other mujahideen training with him that he was not one of them - that he was a foreigner, thus he was never given special treatment. He remained in the training camp until he completed the basic course successfully. After which he was transferred to the special guerrilla warfare course, lasting for three months. By the decree of Allah swt Abu Abdullah started the course but soon sustained an injury, which would not allow him to continue. The injury resulted in a premature end to Abu Abdullah's Jihad, leaving him no option but to return home. However this was not the end of his efforts for Allah's sake.
When arriving in the UK he brought his love and experiences of Jihad back with him. He would make every effort to increase awareness of the atrocities committed by the tyrant Indian soldiers on the Muslims. He would do this by talking to people and distributing material. At the same time, Abu Abdullah would be working to support himself and his family. Initially he started working in a sports shop in London, however by his own admission, his emaan was suffering from being in such an environment. As a result he left the job, and started working for a scholar dealing with the affairs of Muslims. There was a price to be paid to secure his emaan, he took a cut in wage and bore the pressures of his family, for not having a "proper job". When the scholar was asked weather he had any complaints about Abu Abdullah's work, he replied, "I have no complaints with Abdullah except when he goes for salat he takes to long…".
In the mean time Abdullah's brother had decided he wanted to go to Kashmir to fulfil his fard, this was something that Abdullah did not like. It would mean that he would have to stay at home with the family while his brother went in the path of Allah.
Standing before their Mujahida mother her two grown sons converse:
"To go to the land of Jihad is Fard upon me first, because I was the first one in this household to turn his interest in this direction and I acquired training as well", Abdullah said, proving his commitment. "You are much younger than me. It is my right and duty as the elder, to go first so I will go", replied the elder brother.
Abu Abdullah: "Brother! Look! Is it not true that none of you even knew about the mujahideen in Pakistan? No one in the house was aware of Jihad. I was the one who began talking about it and all of you used to ridicule me and could not understand what had happened to me. You used to say, "What has gotten into him?" Everyone was strict on me. Father told me off. Mother, you also told me to stop all this talk. So now, if we are to go for Jihad, then I shall go first". These tensions between the brothers lasted for many days, until their maternal uncle reconciled between them.
One day Abu Abdullah reached a conclusion and said, "Ok, brother. Mother is in your favour and I have also done Istikhaara. Go to the land of Jihad". Abdullah's brother went to the land of Kashmir and trained, he also got involved in military action against the Indian army. During the operation he was wounded and no longer able to continue on the front line. Eventually returning home to his family.
No sooner had his brother returned Abdullah was preparing to leave once again for the land of Jihad. Very few people knew his intentions, as this time he was not going to be hindered in anyway. On his brothers return Abdullah felt grieved at the severity of the wounds inflicted by the Indian army, and later he made it known how he felt he had to avenge his brother's wounds.
After having finally obtained permission from his parents, Abdullah once again left for the land of Jihad in February 2000. He arrived in Pakistan and spent time with his sister and her young children. He would often pray his salat in the local mosques, where he would meet lots of other brothers. One brother recalls meeting Abu Abdullah;
"I used to meet him in Kasr Mosque. He was a very handsome and fit young man, I thought to myself that such a fit youth should be with the Mujahideen. I introduced myself to him and after a few days I invited him to join the Jihad. He smiled and said, "I have already completed the first leg of my training and am waiting to do the second leg. I always saw him longing to be martyred. He used to ask each of his companions to make Du'a for him."
After spending a while in his hometown, he left to be reunited with the mujahideen in the high mountainous valleys of Kashmir. There, he was instructed to have patience and do dawa work until the special training course started in June. Abdullah stayed with the mujahideen, had patience and did as he was ordered by his ameer. During this time he would travel to all parts of Pakistan inviting people to Islam and introducing the concept of Jihad. He had not left his home for any other reason but to fight, and die shaheed in the path of Allah, but he was being asked otherwise by his ameer. Abdullah understood the importance of complying with the ameer's order, as he had learnt the lessons from the battle of Uhud well.
Eventually the time to part from dawa duties had come, and the training course was to begin. He was taken to a secret camp (undisclosed to even the other mujahideen), where he was to spend three months. These were to be very hard and testing times for Abdullah. The training was physically tough and extremely harsh, with no exceptions made for Abdullah. The other mujahideen were the selected few who had just completed their guerrilla course, so were in extremely fit condition. Whereas Abdullah had spent the last few months on dawa duties and light exercise. The difference was clearly evident. Abdullah narrated to a brother later, how he was sad at how his physical condition was inferior to the other mujahideen and they made him aware of it. Abdullah suffered the taunts of some of the other brothers, but remained firm. By the grace of Allah swt he finally completed the course and returned to his home in Pakistan, waiting for his turn to enter Occupied Kashmir. One brother relates on what Abdullah was like after his training;
"His emotions were at their peak. I used to observe a conquering sparkle in his eyes…"
By the end of the summer, and at the end of Abdullah's training, two very close cousins of his were getting married in London. They invited him to attend the weddings and then return to what he was doing. In the kindest possible manner Abdullah explained on how important it was for him to stay and not to return to the land of Kuffar, he said his emaan would weaken and he would have to start over again. With his sister also leaving Pakistan, Abdullah was alone. Abdullah spent this time bettering himself and others around him. He would often visit relatives in distant places giving them dawa and explaining the importance of Jihad. His actions along with his good character made him extremely loved amongst all the people he met.
Nearing the end of 2000 one of Abdullah's training partners had been taken shaheed in Kashmir. This was to increase Abdullah's determination to enter and fight in the land of Kashmir. He visited the mother of his friend in a far village, to congratulate her. As he was leaving the house, with full conviction he said to the mother "I am going to meet your son, have you got a message that I can deliver to him for you?" He returned to the camp and applied extreme pressure on the commander of the mujahideen to allow him to enter Kashmir. Finally he was granted permission in February 2001.
After hearing that her son had been granted permission, Umm Abdullah departed for Pakistan to spend a few precious days with her son. On arrival of his mother he said there was no need for her to come, it would only weaken his emaan. By this he meant that his love for his mother was so great he might be deterred from going. As time was drawing closer Abdullah's cousin in London had a dream of how he would be shaheed. She saw that there was a mountainous area with a large green field and in the middle laid Abdullah and his brother. Abdullah's brother lay there with a serious wound to his foot (as he had suffered the year before) and Abdullah lay there shaheed. She was concerned that her dream might be true and wanted to just see her cousin for one last time before he entered into enemy territory. She left from London and got there the night before Abdullah was due to leave for the front line. They spent the night talking and sharing thoughts, for the last time. The following morning Abdullah left his hometown with his mother to a town closer to the border. Where he bade farewell to the most beloved person to him, his mother. A few days later he phoned his mother and said the jeep is ready and I am going now inshallah, his mum recalls he had extreme amount of joy in his voice. He said he was leaving with the foreign brothers that he had met earlier in the camps.
Inside Occupied Kashmir:
On the 19th of February 2001 at 12pm when the group of 14 Mujahideen were trekking through a thick mountainous jungle, aiming to meet the ameer of the area who would allocate them their tasks.
As the group advanced up the mountain they felt the presence of Indian army. The ameer consulted with the brothers and decided to take an alternative route, only to find the Indian forces were manning this route as well. The brothers realised that they were surrounded and that the enemy was encroaching from all sides. Army Patrols were searching viciously to remove any mujahideen presence from the area.
On the ameer's orders the Brothers then started retreating to the place they had camped the night before. During this tactical retreat they were spotted by an Indian patrol party, who then started a savage pursuit of the brothers.
With complete confidence, the ameer decided that all the brothers would take up positions and fight, rather then run further down the mountain and weaken their chance of defending themselves.
"Give yourselves up! We know you have been brain washed and we will not harm you", shouted out an officer from the ranks of the Indian army. The brothers refused. On sight of the Indian officer, the ameer Abu Billal shot the officer dead. This was an indication for the rest of the brothers to start their engagement with the enemy of Allah.
Both sides were exchanging heavy fire; the brothers were greatly out numbered, and surrounded from all sides.
The Indian forces, too fearful of losing their own lives, were content with firing indiscriminately from a distance; they also resorted to the use of long distance grenades (mortars). The Mujahideen were using their ammunition sensibly and effectively as they had been trained to do so. Firing only at sight and at short distance targets.
One of the brothers Abu Omer was firing the PK (heavy machine gun), he was positioned a few meters behind Abu Abdullah. He recounted the last moments of Abu Abdullah saying, " I saw Abu Abdullah seize in activity in the mist of the Engagement, approach me and then asked me for forgiveness". Abu Omer completely astonished, said "brother u have not done any wrong to me there is no need for forgiveness, just carry on firing". On the persistence of Abu Abdullah Abu Omar said, "I forgive you Abu Abdullah". Abu Omer said then I asked for forgiveness from him. Upon this momentary exchange of forgiveness requests Abu Abdullah was content and then changed his position and took cover behind a tree besides a slope. Abu Abbas Yemeni who was positioned adjacent to Abu Omer was shot in the head, reciting the shahada he fell into Abu Omer's lap. Abu Abdullah on seeing this got up to help. As soon as he got up an Indian soldier, who was positioned at the rear with a heavy machine gun, sprayed him with bullets on his back and shoulder. As soon as he got shot Abu Abdullah shouted La illah illal ah hu… he then stumbled to the ground and down the slope reciting "Muhammad ur rasool al-allah", in an ever fainting voice. Then all was quite, Abu Abdullah had reached the last stages of his journey to Jannah, ready to meet his lord.
And so ended a chapter of a short but dedicated life to freeing the Muslims from oppression and raising the word of Allah to be the highest, and defending it's people and it's lands.
"And say not of those who are killed in the way of Allah "They are dead". Nay they are living but you perceive (it) not" (al-Baqarah 154)

ABU AADAM AL AMREEKI
All praise is for Allah the lord of all the worlds. And may the peace and prayers be upon the messenger of Allah and all those who follow his way until the last day. Amma ba’d:
I decided to write this as some sort of reminder for myself and my brothers and sisters. If we see the present day examples of people following the way of our salaf in word and action it will only strengthen us to continue striving and causes us to see the high stations of Allah’s beloved as not being unattainable and out of reach.
“All I want is shahadah in Kashmir. I dont want to be famous and well known.”
Those were the words of Abu Adam Jibreel al Amrikeeas we walked around the center in muridke Pakistan. As we strolled around the giant masjid and school and looked at the horses at the horse stable we talked of the difficulties in training and jihad in general. Abu Adam was only nineteen years of age when he went to the killing fields of occupied Kashmir.
Born into a considerably wealthy family in Atlanta Georgia, Abu Adam had always excelled in most of his activities as a child. He used to go with his family to Ebenezer Baptist church, the church of Dr. Martin Luther King jr. He was known even before he accepted Islam to be a kind and caring person. He would always try to excel at everything he did. Allah in his infinite mercy saw something good in Abu Adam , so he had placed in his heart a desire to seek the truth as he was not completely satisfied with Christianity as a religion. He used to gather and read books on Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and other religions around the world. It was after his search for the truth that Allah the most high expanded his heart and guided him to Islam wal hamdulillah.
Abu Adam was known to frequent the west end masjid in Atlanta, the masjid of the now incarcerated Imaam Jamil al-Amin, may Allah free him. He was known to keep to himself and read a lot. At this time he was still keeping dreadlocks as he was new to Islam and didn’t know about its phrohibition. After graduating high school he left Atlanta to go college in Durham north Carolina about four hours away. It would be in Durham that he would gain a more detailed understanding of Islam and the reality of the situations faced in many of the Muslim lands.
Indeed Allah the most high had blessed Abu Adam with good companionship in Durham that he benefited from very much. It was with them that he learned the aqeedah of the Muslims in detail and it was with them that learned the sunnah. It was in this enviroment that Abu Adam began to read about the affairs of the Muslims in places such as Bosnia, Burma, Kashmir, and Chechyna. He became very concerned about the oppression of his brothers and sisters and wanted to do something about it. It was at this crucial juncture of Abu Adam’s development that he left college and began to prepare for the journey that most never think about- much less prepare for- jihad.
The burning desire to wage jihad against the enemies of Allah soon overtook Abu Adam and thus he began a program of training to prepare himself for the extremely difficult battle conditions. Perhaps we may pay heed and take benefit from his program.
The Preparation :
Abu Adam began to spend more and more time in the masjid. He would increase in his voluntary prayers and fasting. He began to read the Qur'an daily and memorize supplications of the prophet (saw) for every occasion. He also began to lengthen his salah and try to build up his khushuu’ (submissiveness and humilty). Abu Adam even cut back on food and drink and his amount of sleep so as to get himself ready for the hardships of jihad. He realised that jihad is directly connected to the tarbiyah (spiritual cultivation) of the person.
The preparation of Abu Adam for jihad was not relegated to the spiritual side alone. He also undertook physical preparation in the form of running, exercise and military tactics. He went one day to an army surplus store and bought a pair of danners. For those of you who do not know, danners are very heavy and very tough military and hunting boots that feel like a ton when worn. Abu Adam would run only in these boots, and he would refuse to wear running shoes. It was reported that he used to tie a long rope around his waist with a cinder block tied to the end – running in this manner for conditioning.
Allah had also blessed Abu Adam with brothers in his area with prior military experience. He benifited greatly from one who was a former U.S. army ranger, the rangers being a group of elite forces in the U.S. army. After months of spiritual and physical training he was ready. In November of 1997, he went to Kashmir.
Commando Training :
Abu Adam began his training in Ramadan of 1997 with the mujahideen of lashkar taiba. Lashkar taiba are the mujahideen of ahl us sunnah in Kashmir and are the most feared warriors in the occupied valley. He chose to train at the hardest time of the year – mid winter.
I firmly believe that the more difficulties you go through in training, the more barakah your training will have. The mujaahid will go through things in the course of training that purify him as the gold is purified by the fire. He will sometimes go through things that cause him to say,
“Ya Allah ! you know that this is for you alone and I only go through this extreme difficulty for your sake. If you do not help me I will not be able to continue!”
In order for you to grasp the intense hardships and trials that those like Abu Adam must go through you must understand the following facts:
1. Kashmir is situated in the hindu kush mountain range, the tallest mountains in the world.
2. the training camp is in a 12,000 foot mountain. The city that it overlooks is 14,000 feet above sea level. That would place the brothers at 26,000 feet above sea level. So can imagine how difficult it is to do basic exercise there, much less marching throughout the mountains.
3. Kashmir has some of the coldest winters around with snow in the mountains reaching twenty feet deep or more.
4. training consists mostly of marching In the night and day with a 35 pound backpack. This is for preparing the mujaahid for occupied Kashmir. Infiltration takes about seven nights of climbing as well as crossing through heavily guarded points with trip wires and booby traps.
5. the occupied valley is by far more difficult and intense than the ‘small mountains’ of azad- or free Kashmir. In occupied Kashmir, the average mountain is between twelve-to seventeen thousand feet high.
Abu Adam opted for the intense training in winter while at the same time fasting. Abu Adam was known to carry extra weight and march on no matter what. He trained and remembered the promise of Allah,
“if you help Allah , Allah will help you and make your feet firm”:
He would always try harder and make frequent dua’a to Allah for firmness on the path of jihad. He would fast in the day while running miles in the cold kashmiri mountain paths. He would train in military tactics while having numbed limbs from the intense cold of winter. He would continue to shout ‘Allahu akbar’ even while his throat was dry and parched for lack of water due to his fast. He would climb through the beautiful snow covered kashmiri mountains even while his body lacked nutrients because of his fasting. He would break his fast on dirty brown colored water taken from a running stream and he would eat the lentils that always gave him digestive and stomach problems. And it was he that would march out in the dark cold night with his mujahideen brothers from 8:00 pm until the time of fajr salah.
Surely in training- a day is made to feel like a complete year. So after what seemed like 124 years or more aptly four months, Abu Adam successfully completed the lashkar taiba commando-training course. Abu Adam did not leave the training camp unscathed however. He had received frostbite on the extremities of his feet due to the intense cold. Even after springtime, the tips of his toes were still numb. He had also contracted a serious stomach illness that caused him to lose a lot of strength. When I asked him about that he replied,
“I’m going in regardless in sha allah. I didn’t go this far to stop now.”
I always admired his determination. After a few weeks of recovery and rest, Abu Adam received the news that he was long waiting for. The amir told him, “pack your bags. Your going to jammuu to launch!” Abu Adam was shining from happiness and delight,
“I’m finally getting a chance to go and do jihad fee sabeelillah !”
After two and a half weeks I met back up with Abu Adam at the launching sector to prepare to infiltrate with him into the occupied valley. We were only waiting for our slot to carefully infiltrate the occupied valley of Kashmir to strike down and destroy the enemies of Allah, the vile hindus and Sikhs from the Indian army. This sometimes long waiting period is perhaps the most frustrating part of jihad, it is sometimes referred to as ribaat. It is at this point that a person must guard his thoughts and occupy his time before he goes to battle.
His Character and Manners:
Abu Adam was quiet even if he was talking loud. He had a very simple and soft way about him. He never acted rude or argued licentiously with anyone. In the early mornings after the fajr salah, he would run for about a mile and a half with his backpack filled with 50 pounds worth of bricks and stones. He would climb up and down a tall water tower with the same backpack on. After his workout, he would return to the base and take a shower, eat breakfast with the brothers and them proceed to the small masjid we had and memorize the Qur'an and selected dua’as from the book ‘hisn ulMuslim ’.
Our brother was in my view, a true zaahid (one who abstains from the glitter of this worldly life) he was always giving sadaqah to those in need from his brothers. He was always to be seen wearing a black and white checkered ghutrah (scarf) wrapped around his head. I saw a picture of him in America after he became Muslim and he had the same scarf around his head. I remember him as being the one that always reminded us of Allah and the last day. One day there were some brothers sitting and talking vain talk, may Allah forgive them. When they began their vain talk Abu Adam stood up immediately and said to all of the brothers,
“You guys are killing my imaan with this talk. Fear Allah!”
Abu Adam was always keen on praying in the last third of the night. May Allah have mercy upon him, I don’t recall him ever missing the tahajjud, - not even once. One of the interesting occourences that show us the virtue of Abu Adam (nahsabuhu kadhaalika wa la nuzzakee ala allahi ahadan) was when we departed to test our weapons. We went to a far off area to test our weapons before the infiltration. Due to this we all sensed that our time was close. We were test firing the mounted grenade launcher on our kalashnikovs (ak-47 assualt rifle). We were firing old grenades that had been in storage for quite a long time. One brother shot the grenade and it simply shot out and landed about 3 feet in front of us (we were in one big crowd). After we had all dashed to take cover from the expected explosion that was only 3 feet away from us, Abu Adam looked up at me and said,
“We ran and didn’t even remember Allah! What’s up with us?”
I was totally amazed at his perception of things. When being around him one always wanted to do jihad and dhikr of Allah (at least myself) may Allah join us all together with the shushed’. ameen.
I recall that when all of us were sleeping after dhuhur salah, I woke up and proceded to go outside for some fresh air. I walked outside only to see Abu Adam practicing his firing stances and maneuvers with his ak-47 in the hot sun. I said to myself, “subhaanallah ! when does he stop ?” may Allah the most high grant us determination like Abu Adam , ameen.
And I will never forget when he was still suffering from his stomach illness, we all decided together to practice the sunnah of our beloved prophet (saw) by performing cupping or in Arabic ‘hijaamah’. One of our brothers there, abu yahya, an arab who was a 48 year old veteran of Afghanistan, performed the hijaamah on Abu Adam s two shoulder blades. After the hijaamah, Abu Adam recovered from his illness one hundred percent wal hamdulillah !
The Launching:
It was around July 5th that our group of ten brothers received what it was waiting for : the news of its launching into the occupied valley. After two days of preperation, the weapons were test fired, cleaned, and sighted. The equipment and gear were distributed. The magazines were loaded and the imaan was as high as ever awaiting the chance to please allah. It was time to wage jihad and secure some expensive real estate in the jannah. And as always, Abu Adam demanded that he carry more gear and ammo than anyone else in the group. Allahu akbar !!!
Unfourtunately, some of us were separated from Abu Adam and his group due to external factors, so at this launching point would be the last time I would see my brother Abu Adam, may allah have mercy upon him. Indeed, he was crying from happiness and at the same time, realizing that this is the last time we will see him for a long while.
Abu yahya said about him,
“When we were infiltrating in the pitch black darkness of the cloudy kashmiri border area he (Abu Adam ) was always at the front of the group – never lagging at all. When we stoped for ten minutes of rest he sat next to me and looked to the heavens and sighed, “al hamdu lillah”. i then asked him , “What is it that makes you say that right now ?” to which he replied,
“All of my life I wanted a piece (a gun) and some grenades and a blade (knife) and now I have my piece (a makarov 9mm pistol) and my rifle (ak-47 ) and I have my grenades and my blade. And its all fee sabeelillah.”
After five days of night movement and infiltration, Abu Adam with the rest of the brother’s successfully entered into the occupied valley of Kashmir. It was there that Abu Adam would take an active part in laying ambushes and carrying out raid against the Indian oppressors. After two and a half months of guerilla jihad, Abu Adam finally achieved that which he strove for in sha allah : ash-shahadah fee sabeelillah.
Abu Adam and his team of brothers launched a bloody raid on an army post in the Doda sector in the jammuu region. Reports indicate that out of the thirty four Indian soldiers killed in the action, Abu Adam was responsible for killing seventeen. Allahu akbar !
It was at the exact time of his shahadah (in sha allah) that I had a dream in which I saw Abu Adam at the launching sector base. He had returned from fighting. His hair had grown out and there was fresh blood on his clothes. He was shining in happiness to see me. I then asked him, “How was it ?” to which he replied,
“It was hard but worth it.”
After this dream, I received news that my good friend, Abu Adam – had beaten me to our respective goal – ash-shahadah fee sabeelillah. (in sha allah)
I remember him saying to me once, “I want to get shot in the chest so that my soul doesn’t leave immediately and I can prostrate to Allah on the battlefield before my soul leaves my body.”
I cant help but wonder if he got his last wish or not. Abu Adam Jibreel al Amrikee never did drugs before Islam and when he left this dunya he was still a virgin, something that is very rare for an American youth. His news eventually reached his non-Muslim family in Atlanta. And it was after hearing this news that his older sister, Lisa took shahadah and entered into the fold of Islam. May Allah make her like her brother. Ameen
“ And do not think those killed in the way of Allah as being dead. Nay they are alive with their lord being provided for” (aal-imraan)

India's War On Islam (Documentary) (http://maktabah.net/ViewProduct.asp?ProductID=1064)
I was watching this documentary the other day, and was shocked at how openly Islaam and the Muslims are mocked in Hindi films. Having hardly ever watched one, I expected a few subtle jibes about Pakistan at the most. Instead, a clip showed a "Muslim" woman apparently having had a child with a najjis Hundu man. The mother is vowing that her child will be a Hindu like his father....not humiliated, and that she wanted it hidden that he has a Muslim mother. There were many other clips too, portaying Mujaahideen as having girlfriends aouthu billah from a flim called "Mission Kashmir", hence the title of this thread.

Salam sister Umm,
I cant help but feel that you have started up an issue that has long been forgotten in the minds of Muslims. Maybe this is because it doesn't hold the glamour of other struggles, such as the Afghan, Palestinian, Iraqi and to an extent Chechen. Muslims now only know and remember struggles that are displayed to them on their TV/monitor screens. We don’t feel the need to make it our business to find out how and why Muslims are struggling. An example would be, how many Muslims know the problems of Sudan, and Indonesia? I respect fully the opinion that Muslim countries do NOT assist us in our aid efforts, however we often see the kuffar sneaking into trouble zones.......Allah knows why they do it, but they do!
If we truly were one body, we would look for cures for all parts of the wounded body.
That was just my initial thought on this thread, inshallah i will assist and contribute as much as possible.
May Allah swt reward you sister for reminding this dead hearted Ummah of an on going ONSLAUGHT by the mushrikoon. ameen

Abu Fahad Ullah - Sohal Abid Ilaahi
Date of Shahaadat : 17th May 2002
Report: Muhammad Saajid Iqbal
This handsome young man used to roam idly through the alleyways and marketplaces in his village and also through the dusty streets of neighbouring cities, without a care in the world. He had bid farewell to his studies and showed no interest in the masjids or madrassahs. He remained ignorant of the suffering of the weak and oppressed muslims around the globe.
The powerless parents of this youth used to supplicate to Allah “Oh Allah, guide our son to the straight path. If nothing else then let him learn the Qur’an” Sometimes they would ask Moulana Siddiq Sahib to supplicate for their son, that his heart become attached to the Masjid, in the hope that the supplication of a pious person would be answered.
Finally, these sincere dua’s were answered and that very same young man, who had been oblivious to any aspect of Islam, decided that he wanted to memorize Allah’s Holy Book. This, now, became his only desire and he pursued it enthusiastically.
In his aspiration to learn the Qur’an, he travelled a great distance, leaving his family behind, and ended up in a madrassah in my village. His name was Abid Maqbool. On arrival, a revolution occurred in his life and Abid Maqbool became a true ‘Abid’ (Slave of Allah). This brother was already memorizing the Qur’an, but alongside this he was desperately striving to learn the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. Sometimes he would study from books and at other times he would approach the people of knowledge. He was restless to put into practise every single Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW). Besides these good qualities, he also mastered the art of giving speeches and whilst continuing to memorize the Qur’an, he would do the Jumu’ah Khutbahs in nearby villages.
Brother Abid used to do many Sunnah and Nawafil acts of worship. He would pray Tahajjud, Ishraq and Nawafil raka’ats and also keep many Nawafil fasts. He was desirous to act upon everything he learnt from the Qur’an.
Brother Abid learnt about Jihad and commenced training for it. The radiant life of this brother, shone even more brilliantly once he had completed his 21 days of training. He now stuck even more steadfastly to his Da’wah of calling unto Tawheed, following in the footsteps of the pious predecessors, facing hardships and torture for speaking the truth. On one occasion, brother Abid went to a nearby village and gathered some of the youngsters, inviting them to Tawheed and also warning them to abandon Shirk. On hearing his words, the people set upon him and started beating him. He said, “I am helpless that I cannot say anything to you, but a day will come when you will regret your actions”. And that day did arrive when these same people heard of the martyrdom of Brother Abid and were screaming and wailing with shame and remorse at their wrongdoing.
His mission of Da’wah continuing to go forward, this brother completed his Hifz of the Qur’an. He now desired to free the suffering and oppressed muslims, and wished to sacrifice his life in the Path of Allah. Many of his friends from the Madrassah had already gone to the frontline. I said to him “Brother, Allah Ta’ala has given you the gift of understanding. You should continue to study at the Madrassah and call the people towards the Deen of Islam as Allah Ta’ala has blessed you with a beautiful manner of speaking and giving Da’wah” He made me silent by replying, “The weak muslims are calling upon us to help them and so it is impossible that we should reject the Jihad and continue to only pray and worship in our homes.”
You sold your sword and bought a prayer mat
Daughters continued to be dishonoured and you remained only supplicating
Brother Abu Fahad Ullah’s companions from the Madrassah had already entered the battlefields in search of martyrdom before him. Abu Usman Hafiz Kareem Ullah had been fighting bravely in the peaks of Kashmir for three years. The student of knowledge, Abu Abdur-Rehman Muaaz-ur-Rehman had already eaten the fruit of Shahaadah. After him, Abu Saaria Abdur-Rehman Abid also sacrificed his life.
Abu Dajaanah Rehmatullah, Hafiz Abu Talha Abdul Sattar and Abu Hamza Muhammad Shafiq have all reached the battlefield in order to exact their revenge on the enemy. How was it then possible that Abu Fahad Ullah would stay behind?
He often used to recite the following couplet;
The disbeliever puts his faith in his sword and its might
The believer is a warrior who fights even without a dagger
Then, that great time arrived when Abu Fahad Ullah Abid Ilaahi entered the arena of Qitaal. For almost a year, he fought bravely, with immense honour and finally, the moment of completion which he had so desired, arrived.
On the 17th of May at 5 AM, the Mujahideen encountered a group of the enemy in the area of Montaasa. In the skirmish that ensued, Abu Fahad Ullah Abid Ilaahi son of Maqbool Ahmad, along with one other brother, became an inheritor of the Heavens of Allah (SWT), Insha’Allah.
Father’s expressions:
This son of mine was always restless to obtain martyrdom. Death comes to us all whenever it is decreed, and by fulfilling this wish of his, Allah has bestowed a great favour upon us. May Allah accept our son’s martyrdom. Ameen.

The Excellent Character of the Mother of Shaheed Abu Dujanah - Umar
This is the story of one of those Muslim mothers who is worthy of much praise. She is an example of those mothers who are living on Allah’s Earth and are pure, modest and on the straight path. They want to spread Islam, stop its enemies and see an end to the evil culture.
This mother had four sons. Whilst nourishing her sons with her milk, this great mother also instilled in them the love of Jihad. Time passed and the sons grew older. Umm Abu Dujanah repeatedly reminded her sons, “Along with my milk I have also given you the zeal for Jihad and martyrdom. Sons, get ready, the battlefield is beckoning you”.
She was the descendant of a family of Ulemaa. They were very modest, honourable and quite a well off family. The pious mother’s son, Abu Dujanah, was in his second year of his FA (A-Levels). After hearing about the situation in Kashmir, he became very agitated. He immediately decided to go for training. He asked his mother to grant him permission to go. The mother, who was herself much grieved and disturbed by what was happening, did not refuse him.
After completing 21 days of training, Abu Dujanah sent his mother a letter asking if she would grant him permission to stay and do another 3 months of training, after which he would return home. Upon hearing her son’s desires the mother offered two Raka’at of Nawaafil prayers to thank Allah. She said to her son, “My son, my happiness is in your happiness”.
After completing his three months, Abu Dujanah wanted to train further, so again he requested permission from his mother, this time, to join Abdullah bin ‘Ateek. Abdullah Bin ‘Ateek is an advanced training programme designed for only the most capable and advanced brothers. With Allah’s blessings and help Abu Dujanah completed the course successfully and was now waiting to enter the “valley of death”.
A sister narrates the story of Umm Abu Dujanah:
On 12th of October I was requested to attend a conference. It was a cold day, as summer was drawing to a close. Even before the Jumu’ah Prayer, the hall had filled with women. From nearby villages and cities, groups of buses were arriving, and men and women were participating with much excitement. It was at this conference that I first met Umm Abu Dujanah. She kept saying to me “Ameer Hafiz Sahib is here. Can you please write a few words to him and request him to launch my son into Occupied Kashmir? I have prepared my son completely, so he is able to fight the Kuffar”. She told me that she herself had purchased a Kalashnikov for 1,800 rupees, from her savings, for her son.
She went on to say “I spoke to my son on the phone and asked him if he wanted anything. He said it would be good if he could get a communication set.” So she said she sent him 9,000 rupees so he could buy himself a communication set. I was in shock and awe, whilst listening to this great mother, and I wondered to myself that even now such mothers exist, those who decorate their beloved sons by placing ammunition in their hands and send them into the battlefield. Allahu Akbar!
When I arrived home, I spoke to my son, who had only returned a day earlier from the camp. He told me, “Mother, Abu Dujanah has been launched.” And so I hastily rushed to inform Umm Dujanah via telephone, that her beloved son had been launched into the valley……….
After that, I forgot about this incident. On the morning of the 24th of March 2001, I had just finished praying Fajr, when the phone rang. When I answered it, I found that Abu Dujanah had become Shaheed. Alhumdulillah
The next day, I travelled to Umm Dujanah’s village, to congratulate her. For most of the journey I kept imagining what the atmosphere must be like in the Shaheed’s home. What emotions his mother must be experiencing and how she would be feeling. As I entered his home I was astounded. Beneath the marquee, surrounded by several women, Umm Abu Dajanah was lost in conversation. She had a content and attractive smile on her face. When she greeted me, all I could say was, “Sister, I have only come to say Salaam to this great mother’s greatness.” I was still sitting next to her, overwhelmed and in astonishment, when the Shaheed’s elder brother, Ali came into the room to greet an elderly woman. Whilst greeting the elderly lady, the boy was quietly weeping. His mother saw this, and immediately said in a proud tone, “My son, I see tears in your eyes. I sincerely hope this is not the case.” The son replied, “No Mother, it is nothing like that.” At that moment, the mother turned her attention towards me and said, “Make sure you come to celebrate Abu Dujanah’s funeral. My next missile I have prepared in the shape of Ali. Whenever the Mujahideen require his assistance, he is at their service.”
The events on the day of the funeral were extraordinary and unexpected. Umm Abu Dujanah was addressing her sisters, sisters-in-law and various other female relatives saying to them, “Today I will see what wedding gift you give to my Dujanah. Today is his Walima. Open your hearts and give generously. I will see how much you love my son”. After listening to this great mother, many of her female relatives started donating to the Jihad fund. Once the funds had been collected in the form of money, Umm Abu Dujanah said, “My sisters. Those of you who are wearing four, six or eight gold bangles. They should each give my son one of their bangles as a gift, so that as well as giving a gift, your jewellery can be counted in odd numbers. Immediately upon hearing this, many women, in order to make their jewellery odd in number, took off one of their bangles and gave them to Umm Dujanah to put in the Jihad fund. Rings and earrings were also collected. Umm Dujanah herself donated 100,000 rupees to the Jihad fund when her son obtained Shahaadah, and gave it to him as a gift. What a unique gift!
These qualities can only be obtained by that mother who teaches herself and her children to live in accordance to the light of the Deen and teaches them the true way of Islam, who strives to make them Mujahideen, and instils in them the zeal to die for Islam.
After some days I was given the opportunity to meet Umm Dujanah again, she greeted us with that same glory and honour. To tell you the truth, I could see even more firmness and conviction on her face than before. After the circle, when she was free, she said to Umm Hammad, “Sister, make du’a that when we meet again, then I, like you, will also be the mother of two Shaheed sons.” Allah! Allah! What were my ears hearing! Memories of the Sahaabiyeen were racing through my mind.
On the 20th April 2001, Ameer Hafiz Muhamad Saeed led the Jumu’ah prayer in a nearby town. I also went to pray and there I met Umm Abu Dujanah. I asked her if she had written about any memories that she had of Abu Dujanah, as I had mentioned to her in our last meeting. She said, “I am so busy collecting wheat for the Mujahideen. I didn’t give much importance to the writing.” Then she said, “Insha’Allah, I will collect 100 tonnes of wheat for the Mujahideen.”
And I was thinking to myself that, for the exaltation of the Muslim Ummah, the Muslim women must adopt such an excellent character as is seen in Umm Umar Abu Dujanah.

Nourul Islam Baber Shaheed
His melodious voice echoes in my ears whenever anyone mentions Baber. Many a times he could be seen in the valleys of Afghanistan cheerfully singing Jihadic nasheeds. Today although he is not amongst us, those of us who knew him will always remember him. Even the Ameer used to become tearful when Baber was mentioned.
This brave, young and courageous brother was born in India, but before reaching the truth he had strayed many times. While he could often be seen roaming about the market place there was also a time when he was a rising star in the Indian film industry. His voice echoed all over the airwaves in India and his pics began to appear in the newspapers and magazines. But Baber's pure soul couldn't stand this filthy environment for long until he was able to free himself from its clutches.
In the words of Baber " I, a lost traveller reached my destination in the jihad of Afghanistan." There were times when this cheerful brother would suddenly become silent and address a fellow mujahid thus "Brother there is only one way to compensate for Baber's sins and that is shahadah in the path of Allah."
Many a times he would inform his friends of the pain that dwelled in his heart when he saw that the Hindus wanted to convert the Babrey Masjid into a temple. He would often say " I can't bear to see this Masjid being deserted. Inshaallah I will train myself for this task. I will fight every infidel heading for Babrey Masjid."
It was on the 22 of Shabaan ???? that he arrived at the central office of Harkatul-Mujahideen. Soon he was sent to the training centre from where he emerged as a courageous and fearless commando. He would go to the enemy's den and bring back a detailed report on them. Then he was appointed to be the Ameer of the Ragbely centre. However this true mujahid was always in search of shahadah. He had made a will that after his martyrdom he should be buried in Afghanistan and not taken elsewhere. During his six months on the front-line he proved to be a very successful and brave commander.
At last the time had arrived which Baber had been eagerly waiting for. In the operation against the Russians which Baber himself was commanding, while walking on the front-line he stepped on a land mine which brought his worldly life to an end. This brave and fearless mujahid who had been brought up in India was no longer amongst us.
Now Baber had willed that he be buried in Afghanistan but those in charge were unaware of this. After the janazah salah the brothers in charge decided that his body be taken to Meeranshah for burial. Accordingly his body was loaded onto a donkey ready to be transported to Pakistan, but strangely the donkey refused to move. At this the brothers were perplexed when suddenly one of the brothers remembered the will of the shaheed. Eventually Baber was buried in the grave which he, a few days prior had prepared with his own hands.
A few weeks/months later a Pakistani brother saw a dream in which Baber was singing a beautiful nasheed in his melodious voice. The brother said to him "I thought you had passed away" Baber replied "When did I die? I am alive." And indeed shahadah is the real life.
O Allah we ask you to accept his shahadah and give us the tawfiq to follow in his footsteps. Ameen

Raising Mujaahideen.
In the Masjid, the Imam is asking a group of young children about their ambitions. One wants to be a doctor, another a pilot, another an Alim. He notices a small, skinny boy in the corner and asks him “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The little boy shyly stands up. In a firm voice which belies his slight frame, he replies “I want to be a Mujaahid and die a Shaheed.” The sniggering of the other children is barely concealed. He runs home, where his mother dries his tears and prays that his wish is fulfilled.
Many years later, he travels to the Kashmir valley with its bitter cold and merciless depth. It is a pitch black night, and he is on high alert to every sound in the dark. He struggles to slow the pounding of his heart at every screeching jackal, every mortar fired. Against his will his mind wanders to those he has left behind. Is his daughter missing him? Would he see her again? He worries about his wife’s difficult pregnancy. He remembers her laughter at his corny jokes. His mother fussing about him being too thin; his father’s admonition that his car is a death-trap. It all seems like another life.
The shelling has intensified. As he fires his kalashnikov, he is crying; begging his Lord to grant him the Shahadah he has desired since childhood. The back of his jacket has turned bright red. Bowing down into sujood, he whispers “Allahu Akbar”. His soul gently leaves his body to reside in the heart of a green bird in Jannah.
Four thousand miles away, a son is born to his wife. The family blink back the tears at this tiny mirror image of their son and husband. When the news reaches them of his Shahadah, they are grief-stricken, yet patient at the news. Friends and relatives are amazed at their steadfastness; how they are determined that his children will honour his memory and live up to his example. How they encourage everyone who visits them to support the Jihad with their wealth and their lives.
A few years later, in the same Masjid, another Imam asks another little boy: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The little boy replies “I want to be a Mujaahid and die a Shaheed.” The sniggering of the class is barely concealed, but he doesn’t care. Instead, he thinks about the stories his mother has told him about the father whom he has never met. When these same class-mates will one-day be working in banks and comfortably enjoying the dhunia, he will travel the same journey, fight the same enemy and insha’Allah join his father as a Shaheed.
How are we raising our children?

Does anyone have the article that was called something like "Letter from 7 sisters from Kashmir"? It had a line saying something like "If you were in our place we would ransom everything we had to free you" These are very rough recollections from memory, so apologies in advance if the title is wrong.

Deep Inside
The Mujahideen are homeless, they are poor, they are sometimes unsure of when or where their next meal will originate from. Their existence inside Occupied Kashmir is one that requires living off the land. In addition, they must depend on any charity (which when possible they will nearly always endeavour to pay for) that their Lord may send them down via the goodwill of the Muslim civilians of Kashmir.
Once inside they are nearly always constantly required to be on the move. Throughout the Occupied Territories, there are various far-reaching points, which the Mujahideen will move to and from. These points are all confined to the thick dense forests wherein they will live, eat and sleep. Hides are constructed, usually consisting of a simple levelled out piece of ground in the jungle. Often a simple thin fabric blanket will have to be shared between two Mujahideen, for the basic reason that there be being no other option. Even a blanket will not even available on occasions.
From time to time waterproof sheeting may be obtained with which a plain simplistic roof is constructed, preferably a green one for camouflage. This is a great asset as any Mujahid will be able to inform you, of a surety there is nothing humorous about sleeping out in a rain shower.
Occasionally as does occur, movement may be required for prolonged periods of time; in such cases the Mujahideen will sleep wherever may be required or rather wherever may be available.
Many a time, in this mountainous terrain combined with sweeping semi jungles they must attempt to embark on a few hours rest on nothing more flat than the likes of steep sloping mountain faces. Here, little time may be spent resting and most of the time spent struggling for balance to keep from sliding down for the larger part of the night. With just their raiment as their sole covering, they will sometimes sleep back to back in order to stay just that extra little bit warmer on these so very cold nights. Whatever may be required is the underlining code for the resistance.

Kashmir is also a land with wildlife; wildcats, bears, jackals and snakes naturally find the environment conducive to live in, but this does not pose a problem for the Mujahideen, each keep to themselves, neither harming one another.
However, a great burden for the Muslim fighters living out in the open is the blood sucking swarms of Mosquitoes that constantly torment them. They are to be found living throughout the forests of Kashmir, especially near to watery habitats and so it is that each make their home in one another's territory, although the mosquitoes exist in their millions if not billions. Surpassing this, another hurdle that presents itself to the fighters are the magnitude of lice which also logically, but excessively irritatingly share the forest floors with the sleeping Mujahideen.
This results in a big lice problem not only in the hair but also in the clothes. Any attempt to prevent these pests would prove futile. A day or two later they are always back - attracted by the salt which is secreted through one's perspiration glands.
Sores are also another burden, which affect them regularly. Naturally due to the change in food, water and climate, ones bodily vitamin levels are reduced thus rendering a weaker immune system. Their daily lives entail moving around the thick dense forests on a regular basis and so it is commonplace for them to sustain small grazes from time to time which are susceptible to cuts and infection. Even scratching can taint causing the normal scab that forms to become overpowered by a watery yellow puss.
Often these painful sores will be exposed, non-wilfully to water, much of which is impure. How this happens to be is that, during the Mujahideen travels inside, often they will be required to wade through rivers - especially at night whilst on the move in order to reach their required destinations. They will plough through the surge of water if the current permits usually with all their raiment on, all the while holding their rifles aloft high on above their of heads. The result every so often: more festering wounds. Even when the water may be clean and fresh much of the time this still only serves to reopen semi healed cuts and grazes, and so their burdens continue. To try and minimise this health issue each unit will normally carry a medical first aid kit with them. This is essential as injuries whether small or large do occur all the time, and so they must be prepared.

The Mujahideen suffer in many ways, but it is they who will reap magnificent rewards in the hereafter in ways which others cannot, as has been told to us through many an authentic narration.
Narrated by Abu Huraira A man came to Allah's Messenger (SAW) and said, "Guide me to such a deed as equals Jihad (in reward). " He replied, "I do
find such a deed. " Then he added, "Can you, whilst the Muslim fighter has gone for Jihad, enter your mosque to prayl Salat (prayers) without cease and observe Saum (fast) and never beak your Saum ?" The man said, " But who can do that? (Sahih Bukhari 2577)
Their source of power lies in blessings of great tranquility, which verily bestows itself down to them from their Lord. The seeking of contentment and peace in their hearts is a constant source of supplication in their tender and emotional prayers, that Allah (SWT) grant them ease of heart and cause their footsteps to be made firm, and Alhumdulillah, he does because Allah (SWT) aids those who aid His cause as we know, and indeed the promise of Allah is true. However, respite from the hardships is a blessing which bestows itself upon them every so often, as in words of truth from surah Inshirah or The Expansion, verses 5 and 6:
"So verily with every difficulty, there is relief
Verily, with every difficulty, There is relief"
On occasion opportunities do arise should it be required, for a nights rest under the guise of a real roof, indoors.
Regarding sustenance, the Mujahideen have various avenues with which this is taken care of. Their eating habits are determined by the present conditions which prevail from day to day, but mainly there are two techniques for the food chain. The first is to descend to a local village and obtain meals from caring local citizens who gratefully accommodate and provide. It is an understanding between the Kashmiri civilian population, and the Mujahideen one of co-operation with each other, that of a silent pledge to aid. In a two-way bargain, progress is made.
The Mujahideen having left their homes and ventured so very afar in order to defend the life, wealth, and honour of their fellow Muslim brethren from Kashmir are returned with gratitude for their help. This gratitude takes the form of sustenance, sometimes even clothes, use of facilities and more.

Seven Sisters Speak About Attrocities In Kashmir
"In The Name of Allah, The Ever-Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.
Dear Brother in Islam,
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
We, your sisters in Islam, are writing this letter to you from held Kashmir. Today, our chastity is at the mercy of Indian soldiers. Sexual assaults have become a part of day-to-day life. We have been subjected to all forms of suppression. Indian beasts rape us, torture and kill our men and children, plunder our houses and burn them down. Will you not come to our help; will you not come to save us from the Indian oppression? We request our Islamic sisters to send their brothers to Held Kashmir so that they may wage Jihad and free us from the tyrannical stranglehold of the Indians. By God if we were in your place we would have sacrificed all we had.
In so far as Mujahideen of Lashkar-e-Taiba are concerned, their efforts in the Held Kashmir have made a discernable difference. With their presence, Indian oppression has lessened considerably, if not ended. What I want to say is that the greater the strength of the Mujahideen of Laskhar-e-Taiba, the lesser will be our agony.
It is really very difficult to express at length how much we have suffered for the last ten years. My dear brothers and sisters in Islam, tell me what would have been your reaction if a similar calamity had befallen you. Imagine the humiliation and disgrace we have suffered over the years. I beseech you, the holders of the Qur'an and Hadith, to step forward and come to our help.
We always had a compelling desire to put across this message to the entire Muslim Ummah. When we learned that you are the spokesman of Lashkar-e-Taiba, we decided to write a letter to you, so that you may inform the Muslims about our ordeal. We, your oppressed sisters, are awaiting the help of our Muslim brothers.
We are, Zeenat, Firdus, Shakila, Anwar Bano, Rehana, Aziza and Faiqa.
[This letter was addressed to Amir Hamza, the editor-in-chief of 'Voice of Islam', a monthly publication of Markaz Ad-da'awah Wal Irshad (5-Chamberlane Road, Lahore, Pakistan), and was published in the November 1998 issue of the same. Years have passed, but the ordeal of these, and thousands of other such sisters who are raped by the Indian filth is still the same, if not worse. Where are the Muslim men? Why have they not gone to fight fi sabeelillah?]
"How should you not fight for the cause of Allah and of the feeble among men, and of the women and children, who are crying: Our Lord! Bring us forth from out this town, of which the people are oppressors! Oh, give us from Your Presence some protecting friend! Oh, give us from Your Presence some defender!" [Qur'an, 4:75]

The Silent Screams Of Kashmir
A fictitious account dedicated to my violated sisters in Kashmir.
As she limped home, the nausea re-emerged and had her retching and vomiting. After a full five minutes, the dizziness receded and she was able to continue the long journey home. Some old men walked past; she pulled her burqah further down to cover her face. Despite years of her father's gentle admonitions, she had only recently abided by the Shari’ah injunction of veiling. She used to feel modest enough wearing the traditional transparent duppata over her head, but things were different now. Now she clung to her burqah as though it would offer protection from further violations.
She started gasping for breath; the memories were resurfacing after all these
weeks of self-imposed amnesia. Against her will she once again heard the raucous laughter and felt the searing pain. "Ya Allah, Ya Allah" she had cried. It was the first time she could recall ever praying to Him. "Allah?" they had mocked. "Which Allah? Your religion is a lie; there is no Allah. There is only us, and you, and we can do what we want to you."
As yet another Hindu soldier moved forward to take his turn, she had curled herself up in a protective ball, trying to make herself invisible. Never in her life had she felt such pain, not even when as a child, she had fallen whilst running and broken her ankle. Her mouth was wide open and the screams were deafeningly silent. She was blind to everything except her private terror. The thought of possible consequences had not occurred to her then. Perhaps had she envisaged then, what she suspected now, she would have lost her mind completely. Perhaps she was just ill from the stress, and was jumping to conclusions.
As twilight approached, she finally reached home. Ever since the incident, she had had one thought on her mind: home. She had felt that once there, things would somehow be all right again. Looking at the door with its hinges broken off, she blinked back the tears. It was a strong door and had protected them in the winter from the icy winds, but eight soldiers with heavy boots and a determination to enter had defeated it.
Would her family read the shame on her face? She had planned to pretend that they had merely beaten her. As she entered, she saw her father with his head bent, silently murmuring a du'a. He had not noticed her enter, but her sisters had. They screamed with fright and relief, and the old man jumped. As she unwillingly met his eyes, she broke down and fell into his lap.
For what seemed like an eternity, he cried with his daughter, his youngest child. He had immediately guessed what she had endured. For six weeks he had been ill with worry. He had envisaged her dead, and now here she was, broken and humiliated. The world stood up for animal rights, he thought angrily, yet his daughter was only a Muslim girl. The Indian army was free to violate her honour as they pleased in his absence, and the world looked the other way. He noticed how she was clinging to her burqah, but said nothing.
As the months went by, the whispered sympathies of the women at the well receded. She took little comfort in this fact: it would start up again, once her condition was apparent.
How vigorously it thrashed inside her! Sometimes it terrified her, despite its small size. At the back of her mind was the dread that it would resemble whichever soldier had fathered it. That thought did not surface to her conscious mind, but at night she had vivid nightmares about it. She would awaken, and seek refuge in Allah from them coming true.
For the first time in her life, she was praying regularly, and fully veiling. This veil that the West so despised made her feel protected and chaste. It helped her forget her shame when she rarely ventured outside. Fasting helped her attain a serenity that she had never before experienced. Without her eemaan, she would probably have had an abortion, or been one of the many unreported suicides that such cases result in.
Her father had taken her sisters to the market, so she was all alone the day the contractions started. How she wished her mother had not passed away so many years ago; she needed her so much at this moment. As the pains grew longer and closer together, her screams intensified. That horrific night, they had been silent screams, audible only in her mind. This time, she felt as though the entire Valley might hear her.
The child was somehow delivered, but she had only the vaguest of memories of that moment. She was verging on unconsciousness. Against her will, she drowsily looked at her son for the first time. She exhaled a sigh of relief, the first in nine long months. She saw no features to remind her of his violent conception.
Growing up, the boy witnessed the atrocities carried out against the villagers whenever the army passed through. His small fists would clench, and he would dread those nights when his mother, as if reliving the past, would begin to scream hysterically. He had long ago guessed what whispered conversations overheard at the well had confirmed. His eyes would burn with a desire for revenge, a yearning that he knew his mother understood - only too well.
The years passed, and now her father had also departed from this world. She often wept, as she recalled him playing with his grandson, whom he favoured, as if to make up for his lack of a father. He never pressurized her to give the child away, unlike so many others. “For the believer, there is benefit in every test from Allah”, he had always reminded her. She understood the wisdom behind those words now. Looking at her son, a young man now, she felt immensely proud. She could hold her head up now; she had raised him well. Every day she prayed for his Shahaadah. With each expedition he partook in, every soldier he killed, her pain was slowly diminished.
How amazing it was she thought, that this same young man - borne from the rape of a young Muslim girl – was now inflicting so much damage upon the very army that had fathered him.

The Last letter of Ghazi Anwar Pasha to his Wife
Ghazi Anwar Pasha is among those great mujahideen of Turkey, who spent his entire life in fighting against the enemies of Islam. He finally achieved shahadat [martyrdom] while fighting against the Russians. A day before his shahadat, he mailed a letter written to his wife Princess Najia Sultana. This letter was published in Turkish newspapers. Later, the translation of this letter came into print in Indian newspapers. This letter was published in Indian newspaper on the date of 22nd April 1923. This letter was full of high spirits, and lessons for Muslim youths. Here is the translation of that letter:
“My companion of life, and my source of pleasure, Najia!
Allah Subhanao wa ta’Ala is your protector. Your last letter is lying in front of me. Believe me, this letter of yours will always stick with my heart. I am unable to see your face, but within the lines and words of this letters, I can see the movement of your fingers. Fingers, which used to play with my hair. Once in a while, in the darkness of my tent, your face appears in front of my eyes.
Oh! You wrote that I have forgotten you, and I don’t care about your love anymore. You said that I broke your heart, and I am playing with fire and death away from you. And I don’t care about the woman who spends her nights while counting the stars. You wrote that I love war, and sword. But while putting these words, which were due to your pure love, you didn’t realize that these thoughts would hurt my heart. How I can make you believe that in this world there is nobody whom I love more than you. You are the center of my love. I never fall in love with anybody, but this is you, who snatched my heart away from me. Then why I’m away from you? You are definitely eligible to ask me this question.
Listen! I am not away from you because I am a seeker of wealth, and treasures. Neither, I am building a kingdom for me, as my enemies have spread the rumor. The only reason I am away form you is that my obligation towards Allah Ta’ala has brought me away from you. There is no obligation such as Jihad fi SabeelAllah. The intention of this obligation makes a man eligible for Jannah [paradise]. Alhumdulillah I am not only making intentions for this mandatory duty, but I am physically fulfilling this fardh [mandatory obligation]. Your separation is killing my heart. But I am happy on this separation. Your love could be an exam for my intentions, and firmness. I am grateful for Allah Ta’ala who gave me courage to pass this exam, and I become able to put the love and the order of Allah Ta’ala superior over my love, and desires. You should also be delighted, and grateful to Allah Ta’ala that He has granted your husband such a firm imaan [faith] that he can sacrifice your love over the love of Allah Ta’ala.
Jihad with sword is not mandatory upon you, but you are also not exempted from the duty of jihad. No Muslim men or women are exempted from jihad. The jihad for you is to make the love of Allah superior over love of your nafs and desires. You should make your relationship of love with your husband, stonger and stronger. Never make this dua, that your husband may return un-harmed from the battlefield. This dua will be based on selfishness, and would not cause pleasure of your Lord. Instead of this, keep making dua that Allah Ta'ala may accept your husband's jihad, He may bring him home with a victory, otherwise He may make him eligible to touch his lips with the drink of shahada.
Those lips that have never become impure with wine, but always kept wet with the rememberence of Allah Ta'ala. My beloved Najia! Just imagine about the moment when this head will be removed from the body. The head you used to mention beautiful, and the body, which in your perspective was the most handsome. The biggest desire of Anwar is to become shaheed, and he may resurrect with sayedena Khalid bin Waleed (RA). The life of this world is of a few days, and death is definite, then why should we fear with death?
When death is o definite, then why does a man need to die over his bead> The death os shahada is not a death, but an ultimate life!
Najia! Here is my will. If I become shaheed, then you marry your brother in law Noori Pasha. After you he is most beloved to me. I want that after I depart for my final journey, he may take care of you with full sincerity, and devotion. My second will to you is that mention the events of my life to all your children, and send them to the battlefields for the sake of Islam. If you wont do this, in Jannah, I will tyrn my face away from you.
My third will is that always remain sincere with Mustafa Kamal Pasha. Assist him with all means. All right my beloved! It is time for departure. I don't know but I am having a feeling that after this letter, I may never be able to write a letter in my life. No wonder if I may become shaheed, tomorrow. Please handle this news with sabr. Don't become grieved over my shahadat. If I become used in the path of Allah Ta'ala, this may cause joy, and pride for you.
Najia! Now I am leaving. Inshallah we will meet in Jannah, and will never leave each other.
Your Anwar"

Kashmir's Female Separatist Trains Her Sons For Jihad
11 March 2002
The Times of India
AFP
SRINAGAR: Aasiya Andrabi makes no bones about holding up the world''s most-wanted man, Osama bin Laden, and Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar as role models for her two young sons. Indian Kashmir''s leading female separatist believes both men are ''symbols of true Islam'' who follow the only genuine path of jihad, or holy war, that can protect the Islamic faith. ''I am educating my two sons to follow the steps of bin Laden and Omar,'' the 38-year-old leader of the Muslim separatist outfit, Dukhtaran-e-Milat said in an interview. ''I want to see both of them as jihadis, not doctors or engineers,'' Andrabi said, pointing to nine-year-old Mohammed bin Qasim and his younger brother, Ahmed bin Qasim, who is only three.
Her efforts are clearly paying off. Despite his tender years, Ahmed knows enough to kiss images of bin Laden and refers to US President George W. Bush as ''Satan. ''I am happy they have started distinguishing between true Muslims and worst enemies of Islam,'' Andrabi said. A college graduate with a degree in bio-chemistry and bacteriology, Andrabi set up her hardline separatist outfit in 1981, eight years before the launch of an armed Muslim insurgency against Indian rule in Kashmir which has since claimed at least 35,000 lives. The group espouses a hardline version of Islam and recently carried out a campaign of throwing coloured dye on Muslim women in Srinagar who ignore orthodox dress codes.
Andrabi is married to a jailed militant commander, Mohammed Qasim, who she has been pressuring to take more wives given the large number of Kashmiri women who have been widowed by the insurgency.'' I would be more than glad to share my house with the other wives of Qasim,'' she said. Andrabi believes jihad is mandatory for all Muslims in the prevailing international scenario, which she sees as being dominated by a US-led western policy to subjugate Islam. ''There is a dire need for Muslims to rise to the occasion and wage jihad against the forces occupying Palestine, Kashmir and Chechnya,'' she said. ''A Muslim who dies without an urge of jihad in his heart dies as an infidel and not as a Muslim.'' Andrabi sees herself as merely a ''guardian'' for her sons whose only role in life is to follow the will of God. ''I will be more than satisfied if they sacrifice their lives in the name of Allah,'' she said.''When they ask for toys and other things, I tell them ''You are different. You are meant for hard life''.'
'Andrabi also fiercely opposed the US-led military offensive against the Taliban in Afghanistan, which was launched because the regime was protecting bin Laden, the accused mastermind of the September 11 attacks on the United States.During the military action, she was at the forefront of a campaign to boycott all US goods and she repeatedly condemned Pakistan for siding with the United States

I Am Not Sad
Translated by Umm Rawhiyah
This a translation (from Urdu) of a letter written by the son of a Shaheed, to Allaah, subhaanahu wa ta'aala, after his father was martyred in Kashmir.
My dear, Allah. How wonderful You are. You have blessed us immensely, yet we fail to thank You for these blessings.
Despite this fact, You continue to bless us every day, in so many ways.
O Allah, You are so Great. You guided us to the straight path and informed us of the deeds we should perform in order to enter Jannah. However, we are so imprudent that we neglect those deeds which will take us to Jannah.
O Allah, How is my Daddy? He is well isn't he? You have admitted my Daddy into Your Paradise, haven?t you?
O Allah! My Daddy abandoned everything and sacrificed his life to glorify Your Deen. He did not give priority to anything in this World; neither wealth, nor property; as a matter of fact, he forgot about everything else and just remembered that Islam should be superior on this Earth. O Allah! It is for this reason that he used to tell us stories about Muhammad Qasim, about Mahmood Ghazanwi, about Tariq Bin Ziyaad and of Khalid Bin Waleed. Eventually, he too, like them, raised arms against the enemy and continued to fight until the last drop of his blood had spilt from his body. O Allah! Give my Salaam to my Daddy and tell him that his little boy is absolutely fine. O Allah, please also tell him that his little boy kept the first fast of his life, during this Ramadhan.
Oh Allah swt! Tell my Daddy not to be worried in our absence; the life of this world is very short. Mummy says that the life of this world will end suddenly, and then no Mummy, Daddy, brother, sister, son, or daughter will be of any use. However on that day the Shaheed will be able to intercede for seventy members of his family and lead them into Jannah.
O Allah! Tell my Daddy that whenever Mummy talks to me about him, she is very sorrowful, but she gives me a lot of courage. She weeps silently, but has never cried impatiently and uncontrollably. O Allah! Tell my Daddy not to get distressed; My mummy is very courageous. She earns a living by sewing clothes and washing dishes for people in our neighbourhood. She sends me to school during the day and to the mosque in the evening. At the mosque I learn the Qur?an from the Qari. My Mummy has never complained to anyone.
Instead, at night time after finishing her work, she she tells me stories of bravery and courage, as my daddy used to, and says I must avenge the killing of my daddy.
O Allah! Eid is near. The other children are going to buy new shoes with their fathers. They have had new garments tailor-made and have bought Eid gifts to exchange with friends. Whenever I ask Mummy to buy me some new shoes and clothes she does not answer me. She just remains silent and goes into the other room. Now I have stopped asking her.
Maybe she has a good reason.
But Allah! Tell my Daddy not to worry. Even if I do not get new clothes, even if I do not get new shoes; so what? Eid is but a day, it will pass. Instead of passing the day playing, as children do and instead of going to the markets, I will spend it in the company of my Mummy. Anyway, I am no longer a child. I have matured. My courage and resolve are very strong.
O Allah! Tell my Daddy that we are very happy. We do not lack anything. Just tell Daddy to remember us; and Allah, tell my Daddy not to worry, as I no longer cry.
There is no one who will lovingly tell me off, there is no one to play fight with me, there is no one who will pretend to be upset with me, but Mummy tries to ensure that I am always happy.
When I hear of the children of Afghanistan and Iraq, that their homes have been destroyed and their parents murdered by the oppressors, I forget about my own sorrows. I see their pictures in the newspapers; they sit despondently; some sit on the rubble of their houses, some sit forlorn on the dead bodies of their relatives. And that is why, Allah, I would like You to tell my Daddy not to worry, because I am not sad.

Subhanallah, I just read that Wikipedia article on "Shiv Sena". Those guys are real wackos!
They couldn't even get on with Hindus of other ethnicities to them, and when one of their leaders died in a hospital of a heart attack, they trashed the entire hospital and reduced it to rubble!

Yes, this Shiv Sena group seems quite crude and barbaric. They seem like little more than Hindu brownshirt thugs that go around threatening or attacking those who disagree with them. What a vulgar assortment of brutes.

WINTER MONTHS
The winter season brings not the possibility of snow and of sub zero temperatures inside Occupied Kashmir but rather the promise of it. Even though it is a time of year when the mosquitoes for one perish, bringing great relief to the Mujahideen, in it's place it flourishes new difficulties and afflictions for all to bear.
Throughout the spring, summer and autumn seasons the Kashmiri civilians will regularly stockpile heavy supplies of wood in order to keep the cold winter chill out. The men will climb the tall sky scraping trees without the use of a safety harness, and whilst clinging on with one hand will chop down branches with the other using an axe. They are poor and live in an environment that lacks the modern advancements of technology.
The choice is between woodcutting or falling prey to the bitter freeze. Even the womenfolk will endeavor to assist, performing beyond the call of duty, as these hard working sisters always do. They will carry weighty bundles of stockpile on their heads and backs, having become accustomed to the toilsome life style. Carrying out their chores well and efficiently, in general most of these Kashmiri folks are genuine, good practicing Muslims, God fearing and decent, they just happen to be under the vile heel of the heathen Indian forces.
For the Mujahideen, as one would expect, troubles intensify. For a minority, some suffer from frostbite and even amputations in some extreme cases, but are also general things which bar none in this harsh climate. At this time of year, it is not possible to live out in the open anymore and so they will painstakingly construct underground hides as the world had once witnessed during the 1960's in Vietnam.
Extra, denser bedding must be obtained; thin, light blankets will be exchanged for warmer heavier ones. This is a time of year when ones instincts call appealingly to simply stay put, huddled under the semi warmth of the sheets, however this is not to be. As ever, food and water be foraged for and supplies obtained on a regular basis; venturing out is a must and this in turn breeds even more hazards for the Mujahideen. Once outside of the hides, their tracks lay a neat trail through the fresh previously untrampled snow and hence permit the enemy to trace their whereabouts with somewhat less difficulty than usual. For this reason, guard duty must be increased at this ultra tense time of year. Mujahideen sentry-guards will perform long hours of duty,in fact even during the summer months it is not unusual for a Muslim fighter to be required to perform up to around eight hours watch-guard surveillance combined with patrolling. During such tense times and lengthy hours he may only receive one short break in order to consume a simple meal.
The winter period usually lasts for a duration of approximately five months between November and March during which Mujahideen operations are few and enemy crackdowns flourish.

Salam,
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/6660951.stmg
just saw this on BBC website, you can read it in ur own time. However i would just like to make a few points.....
"Here I am, teaching a young boy barely out of his teens how to kill - without fear, without pity, without remorse - just the way I was taught." .... i fear this "bravery" of theirs is unleashed upon innocent muslims.
When we do kill somebody, we rejoice and dance and hug each other and pose with the dead body as if it was some trophy to be shown off. But we stop being human. - And this is acceptable? So what happens when they dont get their trophy? do they create an enemy to raise their ranks?
A lot of these issues have been answered in a book i once came across "Valley of death", it's a good read if you can get hold of it.
just a few thoughts.

Just a side note, found it on the net earlier..... as someone brought up Gujrat earlier.
-----------------
Jihaad became fard ayn upon us today.
It was unexpected, we were caught unaware
They are burning our children and raping our mothers.
But the world does not seem to care.
Oh fie, you Hindus, you cow urine drinkers.
May destruction prevail upon you, and die.
You lower than animals and brothers of Jews.
Do not worry you will see how much we care.
We will keep in mind, the act of burning alive.
You know it is fair, an eye for an eye.
Many lives we have to avenge, O ye pagans,
Start counting your days from now,
You should have remembered you savage people
We nurture our young ones on Jihaad.
They do not fear death and are willing martyrs,
Ready to sacrifice their lives right now.
Our tears do not fall in vain
Our Muslim identity is not lost.
Our freshly healed wounds, opened yet again,
Gave us new strength and new vigour.
You reminded us of our fathers and grandfathers
Of what you did to them.
Their sin was being Muslims,
And so is ours.
The rubble of stones strewn everywhere,
The only remaining identity of the mosques,
Cut our hearts more deeply,
Than the killing of our newborn child.
Let me stress again mosques,
For waAllah, it was not just one,
A hundred at least, were all razed to the floor.
And that but the least,
But those cursed pagans made it into their place of worship,
And have placed their idols, and are worshipping them right now,
O Muslims, where are you, the Houses of Allah are being destroyed.
The unheeding attitude of the Muslim world,
To their Muslim brethren in pain,
Puts shame any atrocity that al Hajjaj committed,
For he answered, when an oppressed Muslimah said,
Where are you O Hajjaj, to help the oppressed,
And instantly he sent his teenage son in law Ibn Qaasim,
For whom, had not even passed a day from marriage,
Oh, that there could be a helper for the oppressed today.
But, we do not lose hope,
This was just a reminder,
We Muslims are in a deep slumber,
When will we wake up.
To fulfil our duty to our oppressed brethren,
Nay, not our brethren, but it us,
For surely, the Rasul did say,
All the Muslims are but one body.
So we just fulfil the rights of our body,
And get rid of the pain,
By helping our brothers and sisters,
In the occupied plains.
We are all in the same boat,
Wherever we live,
Be it in Hind, Chechnya, Burma or Bosnia.
We still remember our family in,
Algeria, Afghanistan, Philippines and Somalia.
We are but one Ummah,
The special Ummah.
The Ummah for which Ghana’im was made halaal,
But forget yearning for this,
Even our own homes are not safe.
And nor will our children’s be,
Until we revive the forgotten obligation.
The obligation of Jihaad.

Someone asked for some info on Hafiz Saeed, i found this. Also you can get jummah khutba' s on jamatdawa.org web site every friday. I have been listening to them for a while and he hasnt said anything dodgy yet.... seems to be based on Quran sunnah and ........
This is a speech he delivered after being reliesed from house arrest some years ago. from his khutba's it doesnt appear he has changed his stance much.
---------
I
was asked to keep silence for "my views disturb the peace-loving world and
it causes law and order problem." But why should I keep myself silent when
the Muslim Ummah has been badly injured. It has been disgraced. Its all
segments are being hit. Today, every bullet is targeting it. It is being
targeted from all the four sides -- and nobody is there to dress these
wounds. Where can it take shelter? It has lost every refuge. Wherever it
goes, its own near ones reveal it. Its own members have turned informer
against it. It has been rendered shelterless.
But I cannot surrender to the enemies in the wake of these challenging
conditions. I am already without any arms but still my own people are
stressing me to accept defeat and adopt the way of submission. For it is
also the demand of the circumstances. You long for the domination of Islam
but it is not the ripe time for it. You want to present the idea of Islam
which may awaken the ego of Muslims and some of them may become lovers of
Islam and they may stand up to face the Pharaohs of the day. But you shall
not be allowed to do so. Moreover, you also talk of upholding Jihad due to
which you have been declared as a terrorist. You are accused of heinous
crimes. Seek forgiveness for these crimes. Tell India that you will never
mention Kashmir in your talks. Israel should do in Palestine whatever it
likes for it possesses the "strength". When the Muslims cannot defend
themselves anywhere there is no use of raising this "hue and cry". We shall
also be held for your "sins".
So keep silent and behold. Some people had gathered in Afghanistan in the
name of Islam. What horrible situation they had to face! Scattered corpses
and casualties of Qila Jangi did not move you! Don't you know people had
migrated from different areas to gather in Afghanistan. How many Mujahideen
were butchered by the Russian troops under the cover of Northern Alliance?
They had taken revenge of an old enmity. They had, at gunpoint, taken away
the women relatives of these Mujahideen, and disgraced them. They were
weeping and crying (for help). But no one heard them. Small innocent
children of the martyred were crying. And the people were enjoying these
cries for their fathers had committed "heinous crimes." They had left their
homelands. Their mothers had accompanied these "crazy" people. So they had
to weep. I am being asked that what's making me raise this hue and cry when
the Muslim rulers are silent; when scholars and politicians are paying no
attention to it. Your speech disturbs our peaceful atmosphere. The Big Boss
is angry.
See our major problem is how to compete the other countries after developing
our economy. Today's materialistic world honours those who are economically
sound. Almost all the Muslims have adopted this principle and are working
hard for their economic development. Don't you know your speech badly
affects our stock exchange; our investments are disturbed; we lose the
foreign loans and eventually our budgets are rendered imbalanced. How many
countries have checked their business transactions with us! But you are
adamant to raise the slogans of 'self-respect'. You must know the old
meanings of self-respect have changed. Today the young daughter on her
return from university informs her parents of her boyfriend's visit in the
words: "I have invited him to the party so I should not be disturbed." The
mother enters the room merely to offer tea and respects her daughter's
boyfriend. Then both leave the house and turn away in a car. Such things are
common in the Karachi's Defence Area, and Gulberg in Lahore and in
Rawalpindi and Islamabad. All this is happening in the residences of the
Muslims. These are the conditions of the Muslim universities and colleges.
All the teachers and the taught are the Muslims. These are the progressive
Muslims. They say you are responsible for checking all their progress.
What makes you weep? And who pays heed to your weeping? You are creating
disorder for nothing. Bush has taken some hard decisions against you.
Vajpayee is furious for your participation in Kashmir Jihad. Tony Blair has
declared you his major enemy blaming you for intensifying the war of
cultures. He maintains that Western culture must flourish in this country.
They don't like the women's veil or men adopting Islamic demeanour and
keeping their modesty. What efforts they had to make to open cinema houses
in Kabul and Kandhar. Today Bush and Blair congratulate each other while
listening to the songs and watching dance parties in Afghanistan. Their hard
work has been rewarded.
They say you want that Islamic Da'awa should reach each and every house and
women must observe Pardah (veil); society must bear an Islamic identity;
Jihad must continue in Kashmir and Palestine; the Muslims must get free and
the country must be Islamic. But if we follow you, Bush and Blair would have
to bombard our areas and Vajpayee might attack Pakistan with their backing.
Before this situation arrives, you must be silent otherwise you will be
dropped in a cave of Tora Bora where none will hear you.
"Throw me wherever you like. My heart is hurt. My eyes cannot bear the sight
of Muslim Ummah's plight. The shrieks of my suppressed sisters are
exhausting me. My innocent Muslim brethren are sacrificing their lives. I am
observing these scenes of sufferings.
The only sin of my brothers is that they say that Allah is the only
sustainer and they reject America or Israel and their slavery.
Pharaohs have lit fire all around. Allah's servants are burning before me.
Some servants of Allah have raised their voice against the tyranny and stood
firmly against the perpetrators of brutalities. They have stepped in the
fields of Jihad bearing strong desires of martyrdom. I myself participated
in funerals of many of them. Their mothers and fathers question me what will
be the future of Jihad? When will the Muslims awake and win freedom; we have
offered our dearest wealth and considered no difference between Kashmir and
Pakistan; we take the sufferings of every Muslim as our own. But who will
tell them that all their sacrifices have been termed crimes. Even our
intellectuals have started calling it a crime. Those turning to Afghanistan
and Kashmir both have been termed criminals. But who will have to get hold
of these criminals? Bush or Vajpayee! ----- These are the sincere servants
of Allah. Their only sin is Islam that ordains Jihad. I am also their
companion. I hate to be a servant of the disbelievers and I cannot bear the
deterioration of the Muslims. This is why I am constantly in clash against
the evil powers.
You ask me to become silent and stop raising this hue and cry. ------
Shrieks of oppressed brothers and sisters make me cry. On the other hand
when I see the inactive and insensitive claimants of Islam I shriek with
anger. I can in no way tolerate such plight of the Muslims. I do not like a
life akin to death; rather I like a death that brings life. I have a
different meaning of death as against you. All my hue and cry is on your
accepting servitude of the disbelievers and their rites. They offered you
bread as a reward of their slavery. You deviate a little from the given path
and the Kafir (non-believers) stop your loaves of bread. Then you shall
repent on your "wrongdoings", seek forgiveness from them and they will
restore your sustenance. You have forgotten your honour, self-respect and
Islam to keep your food line clear. Your society has mixed up with the
satanic systems. Your governments have been moulded into evil structures.
Your education has taught you materialism instead of humanity. It has
mechanized you. The machines are running and their control is in the hands
of the West. You think it is life but I do not think so. I cannot run like a
machine. I am a human being. I cannot change my course in the wake of trials
and tribulations. I shall continue my struggle until the Muslim Ummah is
liberated and Allah's word is established in the world. Inshallah.

After sometime the higher cause becomes obscure. After sometime you just start accepting the fact that every night we go out like primitive hunters hoping for a kill - it becomes a very natural thing to do, part of the routine.
When we do kill somebody, we rejoice and dance and hug each other and pose with the dead body as if it was some trophy to be shown off. But we stop being human.
Subhanallah, what an evil little shaytaan.

ENEMY CRACKDOWNS AND SECURITY
Surely for any Infidel soldier who is assigned duty in occupied Kashrnir, whether complying willingly or conscripted, he realises that having a mass zone whereby he is relatively free to perpetuate his sub animalistic dissipation, there could also be the ultimate price to pay - that of his own life.
Inevitably he realises it and he must confront his own personal conscience to be willing to accept and march forth to colonise. All around him, he witnesses his own colleagues being retaliated upon and their own life loss being incurred but none the less still it is a package that he accepts with open arms...
The enemy crackdown is the simple reaction of a desperate and wretched foe who is violently struggling to
keep order - their order, in a place wherein they are trespassing completely out of bounds; that is the machine
of the Indian heathen army.
CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN MUJAHIDEEN AND INDIAN ARMY
It should be said first and foremost that both sides use propaganda; anyone who thinks not would be deluding himself for it is a justified art of warfare.
The army has not remained tight-lipped; a 'fundamental' fear has caused them to even compose letters to various Mujahideen training camps located in the Azad Kashmir area. The content of these letters is shameful, begging the Mujahideen to end the Launching of militants into the Occupied Territories.
In these appalling letters, they have had the audacity to claim that the' 'work' that they are performing in Occupied Kashmir is under coercion and duress from their respective governments.
Moreover, they have stated that for them it is simply a job, which is necessary in order to facilitate their roles as breadwinners so as to feed their wives and children back in mainland India. How ironic that they have painted a picture which is framed with hypocrisy and the grandest fabrications of the truth, portraying themselves as the hapless victim. These same keepers of 'order and democracy' as we so often read are none other than those whose job contract it seems carries a small print which binds them to commit horrendous rape, murder and ravaging land and identities.
These brazen 'enforcers of peace' would even attempt to explain their unexplainable activities to the outside world as a non-willful sequence of events which is only resorted to in order to break the will of the 'separatist - terrorist resistance!
Inside Occupied Kashmir there is also correspondence between the pro-active Mujahideen and army over the wireless sets. The army constantly bombards the airwaves with music and lyrics, which usually carry a lewd content. This is done in order to cause confusion and misunderstanding amongst Mujahideen members who are habitually prompting each other through voice communication on the radios.
Similar to the original pagan Qureysh tribe they (the army) have resorted to usage of the foulest slang derogatory remarks. In an answer to all this, the Mujahideen often manage to strike many a 'raw nerve' when they reply through Nashids (Islamic songs) to an army which seethes with anger at such utterances.

Asalamualaykum,
I was told by a brother who knows about the situation of the mujahideen in kashmir that sometimes the napak army actully sell information about mujahideen to the Indians.
So what happens is they tell a group of brothers that it will be safe to cross the border at such and such a location and then tell the Indians about the brothers, for the right price that is.

Assalamu alaikum brother waziri,
i'm not sure where or how authentic this information is.....however it would not surprise me. Unfortunatly the whole ummah (chech, Iraq, afghan etc) has this problems of hypocrites. One thing i can definaty confirm is that the pak army have decided to cut their co-operation with freedom fighters. But as one brother said, if 7 lak (700K) indian soldiers cant stop us whats another few laak (hundred thousand) going to do?
But please do remember there are stil those brothers in the pak army who feed the freedom fighters, equip them an provide cover for them whilst they cross into occupied muslim lands.
May allah swt guide us and them, ameen

India officer 'commits suicide'
The army is involved in quelling several local insurgencies
A woman officer belonging to the Indian army has committed suicide in the Jammu region of Indian-administered Kashmir, the police said.
Captain Megha Razdan took her life by hanging herself at her home in a cantonment area in Jammu, police said.
Captain Razdan left back a suicide note, police said. The army has launched a probe into the incident.
There has been a sharp rise in number of suicides in India's army - over 100 soldiers took their lives last year.
Last June, another woman officer, Lieutenant Sushmita Chakraborty shot herself dead at Udhampur, the Indian amry's northern command headquarters.
Analysts say the million-strong force is under tremendous stress.
Though it has not fought a full-blown war in decades, the force is bogged down in fighting domestic insurgencies, guarding restive borders and sometimes quelling civilian rioting.
Most experts attribute the growing stress to low morale, bad service conditions, lack of adequate home leave, unattractive pay and a communication gap with superiors.
Family problems are also attributed as one of the reasons leading to an inccreasing number of suicides.

An old article, but it is still beautiful to read.
Year on, Quake Jihad Praised in Kashmir
MUZAFFARABAD —
One year of "humanitarian jihad" helping the survivors of last year's deadly Kashmir earthquake is winning Kashmiri groups the minds and hearts of the people and the praise of the authorities.
"We are very grateful to Jamaat-ud-Dawa for their hospitality and their help," Zulakhian Bibi, a 55-year-old woman recovering from multiple leg breaks, told Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Thursday, October 5.
Bibi is one of many patients treated in a tin-roofed hospital built by Jamaat-ud-Dawa organization in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani-controlled Kashmir.
A massive signboard headed "Dawa Field Surgical Hospital" says it has the city's only orthopaedic surgeon, two operating theatres, a blood bank, free medicine and, of course, a mosque.
A powerful quake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale had hit northwestern Pakistan and Kashmir on October 2005, killing more than 74,000 people and making 3.5 million others homeless.
Kashmiri Muslim groups, battling India for the independence of the Muslim-populated Himalayan region, were the first on the scene after the quake, arriving hours before the army and days before the United Nations despite losing dozens of their own fighters.
Their members, many commando jackets and sometimes carrying Kalashnikovs, rode in the back of pick-up trucks to hand out supplies, help dig up survivors and collect bodies for burial.
In the past 12 months -- now in civilian clothes and with no sign of any weapons -- they have set up clinics, tent camps and schools.
Not Terrorists
Banned by the United States over alleged terror links, many of the Kashmiri groups suffered to help quake survivors.
"When the American doctor teams came over after the earthquake they were reluctant to work with Dawa people," said Ghulamullah Azad, Jamaat-ud-Dawa's Kashmir spokesman.
"But after some days they were very friendly. They appreciated the level of our work."
The United States blacklisted Dawa as a "terrorist organization" in April.
Asked about the US move, Azad replied: "We don't bother about it because we are doing something for the cause of humanity. We fail to understand why America considers us its enemy."
Dawa Field Surgical Hospital administrator Basharat echoed the same position.
"We are not afraid of the US ban…They have got the wrong perception about Jamaat-ud-Dawa."
Jamaat-ud-Dawa is said to be the political wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba, which fights Indian rule in the other sector of disputed Kashmir.
President Pervez Musharraf, a key US ally, has refused to take any action against the group, while authorities here have showered praise on groups involved in quake relief.
The prime minister of Pakistani-administered Kashmir showed his appreciation by officially opening the Dawa hospital earlier this year, while quake survivors protested when they heard about the US ban.
Pakistan insists the groups working in the quake zone are only charities and that since 2001 it has banned the main militant groups and closed their camps.
Kashmir is divided between nuclear-armed rivals Pakistan and India but claimed by both in full.
Since gaining independence from Britain in 1947, they have fought two of their three wars over the Muslim-majority disputed Himalayan region.
From April 1948 to 1957, the UN passed a series of resolutions, affirming the right of self-determination of the people of Kashmir in accordance with a referendum to be held under international auspices.
