The news of the death of an internationally renowned drunkard is awash over the media sources.

Let us remember the man as he was to most...

A drunkard but also a dancer...

There's a much better clip of him but no-one seems to have uploaded it to YouTube yet and so I posted the above one.

He comes out of some meeting and at the bottom of the stairs there's a brass band playing. In his drunken stupor he starts trying to conduct the band and dances along to [some other] rhythm. I think his security men drag him away after yet another embarrassing display of international statesmanship. Classic Yeltsin!

I think he wanted to show the west that he was not like the other half dead russian leaders of the past, who could forget Konstantin Ustinovich Chernenko.
