I looked at the Prophet and could see the anger in his face. And when he passed by them the second time, they mocked him again, and I saw the anger in his face (once more)- then he walked (away). Then when he passed by them for the third time and they had mocked him again – the Prophet (salutations and blessings be upon him) replied:

ÊÓãÚæä íÇ ãÚÔÑ þ þÞÑíÔ þ þÃãÇ æÇáÐí äÝÓ þ þãÍãÏ þ þÈíÏå þ þáÞÏ ÌÆÊßã ÈÇáÐÈÍ

“O people of Quraysh! If someone did this today he would be called an extremist, terrorist, one lacking wisdom, and all sorts of bogus labels.

Who is Shaykh Abdus-Salam Ash-Shaami?

If he speaks English well enough to translate then how come he doesn't write things to refute those that go against his madhab?

Muntasir

Maybe he is not alive anymore? Maybe he is imprisoned? Maybe he is unable to do so for other reasons?

May be he is just another surgeon like the rest of them. May be he's just a butcher, or a baker?

The meaning of the Prophet’s statement (saw) “I have come to you with slaughter”
(Abu Bakr bin Zaki ‘Awdh, Professor of comparative religion at al-azhar university)

We should understand this hadith in its context, and the reason for it. The Prophet (s) was making Tawaf around the Ka’bah, when the Mushrikun mocked and insulted him. He was patient in bearing their insults. When they tried to forbid him, he wanted to inform them that his condition will rise, and that he will be victorious. And that Islam will rise and overpower them, and it did.

And ‘Adh-dhabh' is not meant literally. This is because during the Conquest of Makkah, when the Prophet (s) gathered its people, he (s) said to them: “What do you say? What do you think I would do to you?” They said: Only good. O benovelent one. Then he (saw) said, ”Go then, for you are free” [Bayhaqi]. And if Adh-Dhabh was the aim, then what stopped him (saw) from slaugthering them?

Islam is the most meticulous in preserving the sanctity of liberty and freedom of life for men, and the spilling of blood is not from its objectives; proven when the Messenger (saw) did not kill prisoners on occasions, nor did he kill the Jews of Bani Qaynuqaa’, and established convenants with many of his enemies despite having superiority over them. So where is his ‘call’ for murder?

Indeed the aim of Islam is peace. [Allah said]:
But if they incline towards peace, then incline you towards peace, and trust in Allah (8:61)
Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors (2:190)
The Prophet (s) said: Do not wish to meet the enemy, but ask Allah for good health. [Bukhari, Muslim]

The Prophet’s (s) statement : I have come to you with slaughter, is similar to the statement of ‘Isa (a), “I have not come to bring peace in the world but the sword. The intend of the statement is the fighting of the evil doers- enemies of the Messengers (a) and their message; who oppose the good with their strength and energy, and wage war upon the followers of the Messengers (a)- intending to exterminate them. And for that Allah says:
Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors (2:190)

And those who have emnity against the Messengers (a) and their followers, then his emnity and his oppression will be confronted with what will prevent him from doing so.
