What should one do if one wants to see the nabi salalahu alayhi wa salam (other than dhikr while standing on ones head ). And has anybody seen the nabi salalahu alayhi wa salam and sahabah in dreams ?

It is possible to see the Prophet and his companions in dreams, but this is not something achieved. It is something God-given.

I guess it goes back to the concept of miracles that happen at the hands of the righteous. They are not the performer of miracles. They are given miracles without them trying to achieve miracles.

And as the saying goes: Seek uprightness in faith, and not miracles.

Assalaam alaikum,

I have heard there are some authentic ahadith which give some sort of formula to seeing / being visited by Rasool Allah (SAW) in ones dream?

I stress "heard" and not read for myself. Can anyone confirm / clarify this while we are on the subject.

yeah... the formula goes something like this:

you get a bit Chlorosulfuric acid, mix it in aluminium fluoride for five minutes. Then pour the mixture in boiling water. Add a tablespoon of Garam Masala. Stir for ten minutes, and then add 5ml boron tribromide. keep stirring it until it thickens.

Now stand on your head and drink it while its boiling hot.

lol... looking at that without context makes it appear as though you're advising on how to make something rather quite different... ;)

wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

the standing on the head was stating to redicule the sufi deviations in their rituals. They claim to see many visions whereas they are hallucinations.

BUT it would not suprise me if some sufi saint started doing this , let say the likes of nazim al haqqani, im sure gf haddad would run right to his side to defend him against the 'wahabis' by qouting from the quran and sunnah and twisting their texts.

YES! i agree with the sister..

Just think about it, how many of us obsess about sports and movies, etc and often end up dreaming about them!

yet those who strive to follow the sunnah, and enjoin the good and forbid the evil, end up seeing the Messenger of Allah.

Imam Bukhari and Shiekh al-Albaani is good examples of this.

If you study for the sake of Allah and aim to gain beneficial knowledge, thn insha'Allah you will see the messenger,.

ofcourse, dont for get to make dua. sometimes all we need to do is ask....

as for the issues of dhikr , especially on the head! this is all innovations. and has no basis in islam.
