al-Imam al-Bukhari didn't adhere to the conditions of Sahih in al-Adab al-Mufrad.

The same goes for mishkat.

Mishkat is an excellent book of Ahadith and its constantly used in the subcontinent. However, there are quite a bit of week Ahadith in it as you progress through the book. Sheikh Albani's checking is benificial and you can use it with a translation. The best translation i think of Mishkat is by Robson, however he is not going to tell you the status of Ahadeeth.

'Alaykum as-Salam;

and does anyone know where we can get Sahih Sunan Abu Dawud and Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah by sheikh al-Albaani?Abu Dawud: http://www.salafilibrary.com/slib/slib.cfm?scn=products&catID=24&subID=62&prodID=296

Ibn Majah: http://www.salafilibrary.com/slib/slib.cfm?scn=products&catID=24&subID=62&prodID=298

These are not the separate 'Sahih' editions of these books. Rather, they are the full versions of each book, with al-Albani's grading of each hadith as sahih, da'if, etc., each in one volume.

And here's al-Albani's checking of 'al-Adab al-Mufrad': http://www.alkitab.com/main.asp?uri=1029&cat=1.261.103|page=5&pi=12459

The traditionists are strict when it comes to establishing rules, but lenient with respect to admonitions, etc.

oh. so do they still follow that?

I read an article by sheikh al-Albaani that even if you use a weak hadith in this sense, you should still refernce it

http://www.allaahuakbar.in/article_read.asp?id=363

i actually found another article where he actually says only to use sahih hadith

How about the book "millestones" by Sayyid Qutb

"Under the shade of the Quran" by Sayyid Qutb

i bought them from the islamic soc in my uni because i was told theyr really good, but some have been saying theyr not. so im just abit confused.

Even The Letter written by Hassan al-Banna for students to give Da'wah. we normally give them to new muslim in uni because we thought the advice was good.
