WOW ....nice heated dialog. There is great truth here on both sides. If you will allow me, let me point out a fact that seems to be overlooked.
Allah, the creator of all things, did not create one soul to be superior to another. Under the name of Jihad, Israel is labled the enemy of Islam for their treatment of our bretheren in Palestine.
Though we condem the Israelis (rightfully), how could we stand in good concious and watch the slaughter (in much greater numbers) of our Muslim brothers under Saddam in Iraq and the Taliban In Afganistan??? If you believe that Jihad is our response to attack of our brothers then isn't an attack by another Muslim ....just as real of an attack!!!!! Come on. Be consistent in your position. Nothing is hidden from Allah.
THe taking of a human life is a taking of a life. The being dies...period. If we profess that Islam is the religion of peace then isn't imperative that we address our own leaders first! If you will pick up arms against America then you should be even quicker to pick up arms against rogue leaders in our own faith. Are you blind? Are you uncaring?
I do not condone many of the U.S. government's positions and particularly many past administrations (now thrown out by vote). But if we as an global Islamic nation will not stop regimes from killing MILLIONS of our brethern then I must applaud anyone (US included) for taking a stand to do so ...in our collective absence.
I have studied the teachings given to the Martyrs. Specific Qur'anic verses and Hadiths are taken out of context and brainwashed into their heads to justify their acts of killing the innocent. Conveniently, the laws of Islam that speak directly against such action is ignored. Is this not what we do when we condem the actions of the West and justify our position with these same justifications and conveniently ignore the same that equally apply to our own Muslim leaders doing WORSE. Isn't hypocracy a sin?
