as salaamu alaykum,

I've been a bit soft lately. Reading works on purifying my heart and applying sunnah. ive been less angered , im very calmer walhamdulilah! I feel much happier in my life. What i get upset though is people who will propgate shirk so much. Defending clear cut shirk. This strikes at me and i do speak softly and gently with them however it makes me so upset.

I come from a christian background. I was drawn to catholism a bit as a christian though i wasnt. But i realize that they pray through Mary etc. They call upon saints for aid etc...

Now within islaam i find some people calling to Islamic catholism. I was in a paltalk room this brother with good manners and all still called to such shirk. Saying that its permissible to ask help from the dead etc. as long as you dont believe they themselves harm or heal.

This is clear cut shirk to me. Why is it these people are so staunch on trying not to make allaah similar to creation but yet start calling upon saints as if they are allaah? is this not likening the creation to have status of Allaah?

Naudhubillah Allaah guide us all ameen

as salaamu alaykum,

'Discourse On Islamic Way of Life' By Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani it basically talks about pride, jealousy, being humble, learning deen, seeking forgiveness, making dhikr, requesting allah, warning against mawlid, showing to really respect the nabi salalahu alayhi wa salam by following him. Its a 10 volume set.

as salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Naam my dear brother it consist of ten books. I bought the entire 10 volumes. He talks on subject by subject on applying islam in our lives. Like husbands duties to ones wife, duties to parents, duties to neighbors, discussion on poor people, discussion on bidah, discussion on mawlid being bidah, discussion on dhikr, discussion on what to do in ramadan, discussion on the life of the nabi salalahu alayhi wa salam.

When i read them it encourages me to honestly change myself and become more of a muslim then I am.

If i can just fight off this laziness.
