I must admit I am an avid Bollywood fan but I think the important thing for any person and religion watching these films is to be able to distinguish between reality and fantasy.******* I grew up on these films and I will continue to watch them but I am not naive enough to forget my religion because of a guy and girl dancing on a beach! </p>

This other movie they show an evil Mullah sitting on a throne and giving out hidious laughters and saying how he will take over the world in the name of Islam and enslave the 'beautiful hindu women'</p>



This other movie is set in Kashmir where this soldier says &quot;Come out all you Lahori sewer rats&quot; and other crap which would make one's blood boil.</p>



And a common theme among their movies now is to show Muslims from various country's as terrorist planning to destroy the world: referring to them as Afghan camels, and Pakistani Arab donkeys.</p>

Iam an indian muslim myself, and its quite clear the damage such disgraceful flifthy movies have inflicted , especially upon young indian muslims. Its about time these people who waste their time and money on such trash woke up to themselves before it destroys them and their families.

Ive always hated bollywood and indian films , and now hate them even more.

It makes my blood boil to hear about some of the anti islam / muslim comments mentioned in such films and the fact that bollywood is financially helping the criminal mushrik hundi army against our muslim brothers and sisters.

If you , when in majority have a right to declare your country as Islamic state and suppress minorities, the idol worshippers , as majority in their country have a right to further their own religion and culture. I am 16 years old and live in America and i think what you said was nothing but the Truth it really put things in persecpetive for me. i have seen some Indian films even muslim actor worshipping idols and wearing the cross sighn. There is no excuse to assisocate parntners with Allah even if you are just acting . Stars like sharukh Khan wearing the cross and worshipping idols. What kind of massege are they senting to youth like my self. Bollywood shows there side of the story between hindu and muslims. And many people who watched these films view muslim as being terrists and worst things when in truth we are people of peace who want to live in peace. We might not know it but these films influence the youth in ways you could not understand. </p>

The article, though trying to prove a point is just horrible. First of all, these actors and actresses are doing a job. They're performing for an audience larger than just Muslims. Some of the comments about the movies being anti-muslim is just absurd. Many of the songs and dialogs have praise for Allah. The main thing Bollywood pushes forward is respect for other cultures. im a 'muslim' living in the UK, just to get my background (and iman) out of the way. i must say i feel this article is very biased agaisnt (india) to an absurd degree.

this is another absured example of muslims whining and perpetuating a feeling of victimhood for no reason, (which makes people like me loathe muslims).

i mean if a movie depicts a hindu soldier chating a derogatory battle cry towards muslims in the context of a *war*, then any educated person (rare in semi literate india) can and should see it in that context.

dont forget there has been a war (against muslims) in kashmir for decades so obviously the indian film industry will broach that topic and represent different (hindu) viewpoints.

india has and always will be a multi faith multi cultural entity, and it has a history of a darn load more peaceful coexistance between cultures than a lot of islamic countries (apart from the war in kashmir and the frequent communal rioting which helps to reduce the muslim population)

I am a successful afro-American(Christian) man living in the US, i read an article on CNN about "bollywood"(the name is an insult by itself to indians) ...any i did a search about what the "world" feels about bollywood and came to this site........it was very interesting reading the comments by the posters here, i do want to post a message from someone living in the West(USA), ..."Money Talks" & "Image in media Counts" , if Muslims are do not like bollywood they need to start coming out with movies to combat the bad stereotypes portrayed.... black actors and movies in the US in recent years only started producing positive steyotypes of afro-American people not always "singing and dancing" and complaining about being black in America...but normal movies and shows about every day life "Cosby Show", "Crimson Tide"(denzel washing as start)....AND after all this we(Afro-americans) have a long way to go...i just returned over seas and it was a "surprise" for foreigns to bleieve i was not a basketball player or a rapper because i was staying in the 'nicer' resorts.....i know some may respond that Muslims don't need movies, but the reality of the world is "Money Talks", "Image in media shapes opinions."..and since this site is called awakening i thought i share :).. good commentary, and God Bless you all.(we all are one people!!!!)

i'm also watch Bollywood film because i like to research about film all around the world. i'm angry that in bollywood, they always show negative about Islam such as islam is terrorist and muslim only brings damaged and war to the world. Thats totally wrong thinking about islam. Islam can make people all around the world living in peace if other religion stop thinking negative about islam and try to understand islam.

You all can take Malaysia as an example. Muslims is the majority in Malaysia but Malaysia is a peace country and all religion and races can live happily here. Malaysian Goverment let other religion to do their ethics ceremony and celebrations as long as they do not disturb other people.

Malaysia an islamic country can treat other religion fair including hindus religion, why cant India as hindus as the majority cant treat muslims in India Fair??? Why??? In Malaysians movies industry, we never insult other religions. And when the festives seasons we always shows about other religions.

In Malaysia who ever make statements that insult other religions and races, they will be taken serious punishment by the law.
