There's another one (a new one) in Whitechapel, but I can't remember the name. Will find out and post it here insha'Allah.

There's a Sahara grill opened up in Gants Hill too, I'm not sure if it has cubicles like the Leyton one though.

There's also Pandoos in Ilford, essex, which has a downstairs area sisters can go to, but I think you have to request it and there's certain timings it's available.

why can't you do take away? I personally dislike eating in restaurants anyway and prefer to eat in the comfort of my home.

I asked because I wanted to take some friends, who are visiting UK, out for dinner.
Sometimes its nice to go out to eat, but it just really really difficult to find somewhere for sisters to go.

As for take away, I think its shameful to invite friends over for dinner and then ordering take away and this is not something I would do or encourage anyone else to do.

We invited a family once, and I coked lunch for them. They were such good company that we insisted they stay for dinner too, and got take-away for that.

If guests turn up unexpectedly, take-away is fine. But if you know they are coming, i.e. they have been invited for dinner, then getting take away is a bit lazy.

Sis, take them Azizye, it's really nice food. Sometimes they have dodgy turkish music on, but not always.

Sahara grill is v nice too, except they don't do the steak anymore, and it was really good.

Pandoos downstairs, is not suitable for niqaabis. It's open plan.

khans of bayswater(west London)

Muntadi al Islami(parsons green)has a separate eating area(xpt on jummah)

Blue Ocean restaurant which is just up the road from the shepherds bush masjid has a kind of ladies section downstairs, every time I been there the Somali sisters always go downstairs(female staff work there to) which helps with ordering etc.

Jazaak Allaahu khairan for clarifying that, I signed on today to write that too because I think I came across a bit rude in my earlier post, everyone's situation is different so it was not right for me be so judgmental......maybe a sister cannot cook due to disability or other reasons, so I hope I didn’t offend anyone, I didn’t mean it in a bad way and my post was directed specifically to my own situation.

When you tell your family that you are taking them out to eat, they get all excited, until they find out eating out means £1.99 Chicken meal each.

I keep reminding them of Misr. £1.99 feeds the whole tribe.

Maybe not in al-Qahira :)

If we get used to these type of places (bayswater) how on earth will we survive?

I dont think Khans is segregated, last time I was there both upstairs and downstairs was mixed.

But alhumdulillah, they did stop serving alchohol.

Khans is not very expensive for London to be honest.

Sahara Grill

Baraka Eatery Ltd

Avoid if possible. Food was not all that and over priced and environment was loud and disturbing.
