All praise is due to Allah and may peace and blessing be upon his servant and Messenger Muhammad and on his household and all of his Companions.

I wanted to get some advice from the people of knowledge about a good detail book of tafseer al-Quran. I know that Tafsir Ibn Kathir is recommended as the being very authentic. Al-humdulillah it is a book of great blessings and benefit, yet I would like to get something a little more detail. I have heard from some people of knowledge that Tafsir Tabari is an excellent book for reference but there are many weak narrations in it. I also heard the Imaam al-Qurtabi (May Allah have mercy on him) had some Aqeedah mistakes in his tafsir. I was looking at getting Lubab fi Uloom al-Kitab (20 volumes) but I found out that Imaam Abu Wafa Ali ibn Aqil (May Allah have mercy on him) was influenced by the Mu'tazilah for a part of his life. Even though I know that he later repented, I just don’t want to mess with it.

I want to get a detail tafseer like 10+ volumes from a scholar with the correct Aqeedah of the Hanabilah (not Ashari or Mu'tazilah). Also one who sticks to authentic sources like Imaam Ibn Kathir (May Allah have mercy on him).

Any suggestions?

InshaAllah I will purchase Tafsir at-Tabari. Any other recommendations? Anything the likes of Shaikh Abdullah Ibn Aqil or Shaikh Bakr Abu Zayd (May Allah preserve them) recommend?

I think the Tafseer of Imaam As Sa'adi rahimahullah is also being translated/published into English now, so look out for that as it is highly recommended by the Scholars of hadeeth and tafseer.

Yes MashaAllah I love the tafseer of Shaikh Sa'adi and I study it in Arabic al-humdulillah. Again I wanted something more detail like 10+ volumes when the tafseer of Shaikh Sa'adi (May Allah have mercy on him) it 4 volumes (they even have it in one volume now).

Al-Tahrir wal-Tanwir:

You can download it in Word format from saaid.net (its also on al Maktabah al-Shamilah) or pdf files from waqfeya

note: the word/shamila files don't have his introductions/overviews at the beginning of the surahs, for that I usually go to waqfeya's site to take a look. the tafsir of each juz' is a volume of its own
