Asalaamu 'Alaikum,
Back in the days when I was HT I fancied myself as a Rapper. I even composed a track (astagfirullah) which I made from scratch from squencing and spitting it.
In this thread let loose and buss some ryhmes. Lol
I will start off Insha Allah. (don't laugh)
Bismillah
Once upon a time
I don’t wanna say in ma prime
I used to be a wanna be rappa
I thought my lyrics were real dappa
Even though ya’ll not find anything more crap
But that’s da trap; we all plunge to once in a while
Admit it, don’t be in denial
As dat is da cursed ones style
Make ya forget about da journey da path
Wants ya to face Allahs wrath
Making us chase unattainable desire
But him disown u when u burning in da fire
Our beloved warned and said him Shaytaan is a liar
No need to panic in our deen we have da protection we require and dat’s a fact
All we need to do is sort out are act
Don’t forget with Allah arahmaan we made a pact
Dat him alone we’ll worship and obey
So why are we going astray?
da all mighty we betray, When we disobey
Sort it out blud, or us Him gonna slay

Well, bro, what prevents you from rapping now? Why don't you rap without using musical instruments and shaking your limbs too much?
But good lyrics though. Although, we can add more salt and pepper to them, or make a new chilli rap. Something that ppl listen to and say: OMG That's outrageous!.... and funny! Ya Ge' Wo' I Mean Sta?!

welcome to the very first and probably the last edition of the GAG review, tonight i will be reviewing dirtykaffir by a newcomer and a possible one hit wonder to grace the urban scene sheikh terra and the so salah crew holding the fort down:
CONTAINS EXPLICIT LYRICS AND SOUND THAT MAY BE UPSETTING TO SOME VIEWERS.
[edit]
what the infidels are saying
Al-Qaeda's newest weapon against the West is a violent English-language rap tune urging young Muslims to wage holy war.
The song is being broadcast on the internet in an attempt to lure music-loving youth into the terror network, which is blamed for the September 11 attacks on US cities and other bombings around the world.
Titled Dirty Kuffar or Dirty Infidels, the song is performed by a London-based group which Islamists said was deeply sympathetic to Osama bin Laden's network.
A music video accompanies the catchy yet violent lyrics, belted out by the group's lead singer Sheikh Terra - rap lingo for terror - and the Soul Salah Crew, a take-off on gritty British rappers So Solid Crew. Salah means righteousness or piety in Arabic.
The song calls on Muslims to wage jihad, or holy war, against "Crusaders and apostate Arab rulers", saying they will be "thrown inna fire".
"Be prepared for the battle with the infidels," it says.
The video, which uses footage from news agencies and television, opens with images of a <COUNTRY-REGION>
US</COUNTRY-REGION> soldier killing an Iraqi man and then cheering.
"Dirty Kuffar wherever you are; From Kandahar to Ramallah; OBL (Osama bin Laden) Crew be like a shining star; like the way we destroy them two tower ha ha," one singer raps in front of images of the September 11 airliner attacks on New York's World Trade Centre.
THE REVIEW.
its not actually rap but more "garage" a sort of crossover genre with plenty of blix and assorted blue steel on display, with kafirs getting their "caps peeled" in the process. the infidels claim that alqaida sponsored and promoted the single and they may be looking to sign up more "rap acts" to their new label,
'criminal records'.
not bad for a first effort with a nice touch with the lookalike S1W's* with the addition of a "beatdown" and a properly timed "break to" they might have something. in the end it was the air raid sirens that did it for me, hell yeh, that was awesome....
however the reality is that its an individual effort that is independent of any alqaida music boss/promoter medling!
my rating: 3/5
planes crashing into building: 0/5
*S1W's - dancing soldiers who perform alongside public enemy concerts

Lol 'shaking limbs too much'
Brv it's all about time. A lot effort needs to be put in as I used to do everything on the pc.
Brv Gag order. I remember that track you mentioned. I always found the line ' we're gonna take over you like like we took over the Shah' a bit strange. Does that mean these guys are Shia as they are the ones who took over the Shah? either that or they just desprate in looking for a verse to ryhme.

I always thought they were saying: Show, as in: took over the show...
But then again, I always found it extremely difficult to fully comprehend what's being said in a rap.

Naah definitely Shah. Another verse they mention which I found weird is "peace to Hamas and the 'Hizbullah'." Showing more Shia tendencies perhaps?

yes... I won't be surprised if they have shia influences, then.

No I think its maybe more of a case of looking for words that rhyme with each other.
Words that end with ah ie make a aaaahhhh sound at the end are usually easier to rhyme with.
Having said that they should have racked their brains a little harder to come up with rhyming words without biging up the shia.

May be, but still no excuse for praising the Rafida.
If we are to encourage art, we must strive to keep it clean.

Brv Abuz Zubair. I am waiting for your salt and pepper flavour rap. Maybe you can do a few lines about Asharis? Is that making your mouth water? or would that be classed as unclean Rap? lol
Abuz Zubair
10th June 2007, 01:55 PM
Well, rap has never been my taste, so I can't help you there.
And although, it would be nice to write a poem or nasheed on the Ash'aris, I think we should think wider. Something about Muslims in Britain, political bullying, identity crisis, racism, discrimination, Western hypocrisy, Muslim lifestyle in general will be good.
Also, something to bridge the gap between the Muslim and the wider community in the UK... something to create understanding. Something that would appeal to the wider public.

Arabiyeaah, Demoqratiyeaah, Infijariyeaah... Typical of Shamiyeaah! I think Arabs should stick to their Arabic nasheeds in Arabic melody. Just as we cannot have English lyrics with Arabic melodies, they cannot have Arabic lyrics with English style of melody.
And wussup with the full blown music?
Why can't Muslims think outside the box? Why can't they innovate? I thought innovation was forbidden in Deen, but allowed in worldly matters. We seem to have it reversed!

bro, a while back a brother called "abu hanifa" was in the islamiqa program of islam channel and was asked about mother's day and he said it's permissible. so are celebrations like that, and perhaps even birthdays considered not those kind of innovations that have to do anything with the deen? i'm a bit confused here, please help in shaa Allaah. wa jazaakallah.

I am not sure about the legality of celebrations that weren't initiated by Islam but were only cultural part of a society. I know the official opinion amongst the Najdi scholars, but I am not 100% satisfied.

Na'am we do LOL. Very good. Made me smile.
I think Hizbollah has been hijacked by the Shia. It is a beautiful name. I think we should use it regardless of that one group from Lebanon.

he's good but is unfortunately signed to nation records boss aki nawaz of 'fun-da-mental' fame
who came up with prossibly the most outrageous and controversial rap video ever produced, you probably shouldnt see this but here it is anyway:
[EDIT]
just wait till you get nearer the end, its well out of order! apparently there was a media uproar over it (which passed me by) but despite this nation records continues to operate without hinderance from the authorities.
freedom of artistic expression......???

You should not try to vex the brother. I dnt agree with democracy but look across the planet - many good muslim organisations are involved and worthy of our support i.e. Hamas

Asalaamu 'alaikum,
I don't anyone going to contribute, but if not then i'll have to go it alone.
I am posting some lyrics and all you have to do is continue. I done one section and the chorus so you can start the next section and we can continue from there Insha-Allah.
Here goes Bismilla,
Another shot fired another dead
Got caught in da head, with some brass coloured lead
Instead of coming to their rescue it seems all have fled
Da loss has led the mothers’ eyes to become dry
Cant do nothing, no option but to prostate and cry
Situation is dire like dat of dependent baby or infant
Depending on Allah hoping help arrives in an instant
This is da theme of da ummah, and pattern is consistent
We argue about da placing of hands in prayer, da solution looks distant
Like da laws of da universe, da Muslim should be balanced and consistent
need to be aware dat we’re not just stagnant on da salah da prayer
and all da while looking on doing nothing but stare
do we really care? Blud this not a attack I’m just making you aware
Headlines in da news
Muslims bemused
Zionists and western leaders amused
Muslims with no direction, just confused

Make speech with a beautiful voice,
Evince people of having a choice.
When evil is being wrought in the land,
Everywhere, madmen have the upper hand.
Fear rules men's hearts in stormy weather
But above the clouds, it's sunny as ever.
Talking of "Dis" and "dat" annoys,
Speak with a beautiful voice.

Some creative genius from SasJamal - May Allaah guide the brother to the Truth and us all.
Salam! My name is.. (what?) My name is.. (who?)
My name is.. [scratches] Pani
Salam! My way is.. (huh?) My way is.. (what?)
My way is.. [scratches] Soofie
Ahem.. excuse me!
Can I have the attention of the class
for one second?
Hi kids! Do you like violence? (Yeah yeah yeah!)
Wanna see me do dhikr? So many times that it hurts all of my eyelids? (Uh-huh!)
Wanna copy me and do exactly like I did? (Yeah yeah!)
Hold Hands, feel Good, drink Chai just like my Sheikh Did?
Use beads, all sorts and sizes, tied around my neck, like some side kick? (Huh?)
My brain's dead weight, I'm tryin to get my head straight
but I can't figure out which Tariqah I wish to propogate (Ummmm..)
And My Mom said, "Oh Pani All the Dhikr you do makes your Face Red!"
Uh-uhhh! "So why's your face red? Man you wasted!"
Well since age twelve, I've felt like I'm someone else
Cause I jumped off the bed, from the top like the Sheikh Said
Thought I could fly Surely knew some day I would try
Fell on my cat, so hard I knocked all her litter out
Kris Kross
I drank three pots of Chai, two of Cofee, and one of Water
faster than 3 of my Sheikhs doing dhikr with Powder
C'mere sheikh! (Pani, wait a minute, that's my girls cat!)
I don't really care, Sheikh always said 'Pani - you have to try harder!'
[Chorus]
[Pani]
My Soofie Teacher wanted to fly around in junior high
The only problem was, my Teacher thought he was really a Kite
I tied him up, and ran around the yard, even chased his little kids
stapled his turban to the side of a building (Owwwwwwww!)
Walked in the pet store, had to find me a new cat
Looked for a dark cat, took it's hair, and put it in my spice rack
Extraterrestrial, runnin over pedestrians
Bay'ain all the Sheyookh while they screamin at me: "LET'S JUST BE FRIENDS!"
Ninety-nine percent of my life I was lied to
I just found out my Sheikh does more dope than I do (Damn!)
I told him I'd grow up to be a famous soofie rapper
Make a fatwa about doin drugs and name it after him (Oh thank you!)
You know you blew up when the soofies rush your stands
and try to touch your hands like some soofie magicians (Aaahhhhhh!)
This guy at the Dhikr Circle asked for my autograph
(Pani, can I get your autograph?)
So I signed it: 'Dear Mike, thanks for the support, JAANU!'
[Chorus]
[Pani]
Stop the Dhikr! This sheikh needs to be locked away! (Get him!)
Oh Soofie Sheikh, don't just stand there, OPERATE!
I'm not ready to stop, it's too scary to stop (help me!)
I'll have to be buried alive, with my Dhikr Beads inside.
(Huh yup!) Am I comin or goin? I can barely decide
I just drank a fifth of paki chai -- dare me to drive? (Go ahead)
All my life I was very deprived
I ain't touched a sunnah in years, and my beads are too ugly to hide
[Chorus]
